Re: 73 dead as fans riot in Egypt
Interesting note, it's been exactly one year since the Camel/Horse incident in the revolution. Many of the Ahly Ultra fans were known to have been at the front lines of that incident and fought back. Coincidence? Revenge?

I have to wonder if the result of this game was different would have this deadly riot still occur after the match?

It might have been ever worse. It just doesn't add up. Why would fans of the winning team attack and kill the other fans.

Aboutreka and Barakat have announced their permanent retirement.
Emad Metab said he won't play again until justice is served (whatever that means).

Between Moteb, Barakat and Abou Trika are 211 appearances and 60 goals for Egypt and 528 appearances and 207 goals for Al-Ahly.
Moteb just recently scored his 100th goal for the club as well.

Damn, just about to post that. That is quite impressive. Not sure what kind of signal it sends though.

Egyptians are vile people.
Remember when they tried to rape a journalist during a protest?

If Egyptians were all vile people, those women and security forces wouldn't have stepped in to save her.

Re: 73 dead as fans riot in Egypt
For people to be celebrating the elections etc in the streets and then every single one of them who could get near her try and rape that journalist is fucking disgraceful.
Its not like saying "oh people rape in uk too".. If there are a bunch of people celebrating something in uk or protesting they don't all suddenly start raping journalists. It just proves all those people were willing to sexually assault women and as soon as they saw the oppertunity they had a go. As you heard the only people to help her were soldeirs and women, not one civilian bloke because they were all too busy trying to rape.
