Don't know what to make of it. He celebrated his goal against Schalke just a couple days after the Port Said Disaster. Before the game, he said he was sad about what happened.

Just read that inverview, pretty shocking and yeah it pretty much confirms it.
I still don't quite get though what exactly the army gain from it?

A few days before the incidence, there were growing pressures of ending the emergency law. The emergency law gives the government the right to arrest anyone for any time without trial if they find it as a threat to the country. Egypt has been abusing this rule for more than 30 years. Had this disaster went through without all these clues and evidence appearing, the army would have had an excuse to extend the emergency law. Some are also saying the army wants to stay in power for a little longer before handing power to a civilian government. There could also be other hands in this incident, such as former NDP members. They could be doing this in revenge for the revolution.
The People's Assembly fact finding commission should release a report about the incident tomorrow. Let's see what they say and what happens.

It was just a bit disrespectful as an Egyptian and former Al-Masry player. I personally wouldn't have dropped him from the team because of that though. I would drop him though because he plays shit with the national team.

Just saw a post match interview with Zidan and he said his celebration was dedicated to the victims.

FIFA has decided to donate financial aid of $250,000 USD to the families of the victims of last week’s tragedy in Port Said. Shikabala (Zamalek) also donated 1 million Egyptian Pounds (about 25% of his remaining contract).
As I said before Aboutreka and Barakat announced their retirements. Emad Metab said he would return to the game if justice was served. Over the past couple of days Ahmed Hassan and Amr Zaki have considered retirement as well.

#Egypt's NT press officer, Azmi Megahed, says Bob Bradley has displayed more grief than some Egyptians. #PortSaid
I've been surprised by his actions. Going in the streets with people and then sacking Zidan.

By "that" I meant exclude someone from the squad for celebrating.

Will there still football be played this season in Egypt?

Not at the club level. The league has been suspended indefinitely. They could resume it though if things calm down, but I think they should just wait until all the elections are over and we have a civilian government. The protests and lack of security won't stop until the Army gives up full power.
So far we had elections for the People's Assembly. Ongoing is the Shura Council and finally the Presidential elections are in early June. So they might as well just cancel the league and start over next season (unless they decide top play without fans in all the matches).

Well Bradley keeps saying how kind the people have been to him since he took over as manager. Anyways, it's good that he's showing his support for the victims.
