I noticed you provided details of games he has played but did he start all those games? I doubt it.
Again i'll use Torres as an example. Some people still say he made a mistake joining us cos' he didn't win any trophies yet joining us made him a better, more popular, well known player in the long term and ultiimately got him a British transfer record move, to Chelsea where for the LONG TERM he'll be better off.
Simply, i say IMO, Carrick won all that stuff in the short term sure, but now he's not going to be in any England squad, he's not going to starting games reguarly, as IMO, he would be doing at Spurs.

Gerrard doesn't bottle it when it comes to "winning the league". I can only remember them being seriously involved in one title race, and even then it was our brilliant season that stopped them winning it. No idea if he was even a Liverpool player the only other time they finished 2nd.

Tbf, he's probably started the majority of those games. Carrick's got only himself to blame for his last 2 seasons. And I said it earlier on in the season, Carrick's form recently deserves an England call up imo, he's still good enough.
