They didn't play far weaker sides. They only replaced a few players in the squad.

But Lech, whom is a more passing, creative side with a physical defense proved to be a challenge for City. Similar sides in La Liga would have an easier time with City. Especialyl seeing how disorganized they are and them playing with two DM's, just inviting La Liga clubs to dominate the game.

And Spurs arguably with RVP solely.

On the other hand, Fulham failed to build on it's success, while Everton and Aston Vila who were powers, collapsed. Dare I even mention Liverpool.

It's the top 4 who have became significantly weaker. Chelsea is riddled with a shit ton of injuries. If they weren't, they'd be running away with the league.

The technical side is (obviously) far better in La Liga, but Prem is slightly more competitive.
