    Pretty much this.

If Carroll didn't push him I'm fairly certain he would have got something on it, not much but enough to put off Carroll.

I don't agree, he got his ankle clipped and there was no way he was going to recover or stay on his feet, if there was any chance of that he would have scored.

Players don't usually go down when there is a clear goal scoring chance ahead of them.

And yes he does dive and over-exaggerate and complain to refs, I personally don't like this part of his game.

I don't think that was his thought process as he was approaching the keeper - he had one thing on his mind & he definitely wanted to put that away.

Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but I'm talking about his ability and his effectiveness, not his character. Even he has never cheated a team, cheated a country, cheated a continent, out of a World Cup Semi Final.

Having watched the replays on the tv, how was it not a red card? Last man and all that? It's just bollocks by the referee, I understand he doesn't want to kill the game by sending a player off after 5/6 minutes, but if it's a foul, it's a foul, that was a red card offence. This whole excuse of going 'away' from the goal is nonsense as well, he weren't literally going away from goal, technically he was, but he was going round keeper, clear goal scoring opportunity. I actually laughed at Kenny's comment about it, he was spot on... he has a way with his words

"Well it is a wee bit difficult not to go away from goal when you're trying to go round the keeper isn't it?"

I've already explained this. It's not about killing the game, it's about the directives the referees are given when it comes to interpreting the Laws of the Game. Dalglish said he doesn't know about the interpretations they're using, and that sums it up, he's just being ignorant.

He would have got there before the keeper anyway if he didn't 'over-exaggerate' the fall and actually tried to score rather than trying to gain a dishonest advantage. Suarez is a player who disgusts me, he really does. Nothing's sacred to that fucking cunt, Premier League, World Cup, he doesn't care, he just tries to lie and cheat his way to victory.

And you say Ronaldo is one of the greatest players ever, did he not like a dive and a few rolls around. I mean for someone who claims he is better than us all, make your fucking mind up. scratch

Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but I'm talking about his ability and his effectiveness, not his character. Even he has never cheated a team, cheated a country, cheated a continent, out of a World Cup Semi Final.

But Suarez has ability and you have said you cant stand him, and you have said that Ronaldo is a fantastic player, even though he also cheats. But Suarez got sent off and and most players would have done the same thing in that situation, and thats the rules and we all no you like to point out the rules to us all. So whatever Suarez did the rules states he should have been sent off, and thats what happened.

I think ive got it Ronaldo played for Manchester United and Suarez plays for Liverpool, now maybe that has something to do with why you hate Suarez but you like Ronaldo. Go on tell the truth.Liverpool FC Official Thread - Page 16 950455
