    March Review

Manchester United slipped four points behind Chelsea in the race for the league title. They began the month with a very entertaining 3-3 draw with fellow challegers Arsenal. A great defensive display earned them a draw at the San Siro, sending them into the quarter finals against Werder Bremen. A 2-0 win over Doncaster in the FA Cup set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash with Man City. They ended the month with a solid 3-0 win over West Ham.

    Awards:
Manager of the Month: Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea)
Player of the Month: Ashley Cole (Chelsea)
Young Player of the Month: Gareth Bale (Tottenham Hotspur)
Goal of the Month: Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa)

    April Review

Man Utd were on fire at the beginning of April, but that died down by the last week. Bremen were dispatched in the Champions League while West Brom were overcome in the league. Rivals Manchester City were beaten 2-0 on their own ground as Man Utd earned a place in the FA Cup Final. At this point, the Red Devils had not conceded a goal in nine games in all competitions. Manchester United then beat Stoke 3-1 and blew Liverpool away 3-0 with Hernandez breaking his scoring duck. That had seen the Red Devils go 29 games unbeaten in all competitions, winning their last 11 straight. That was outdone as they were edged 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico by Roma and beaten 2-0 by Man City.

Manager of the Month: Steve Bruce (Sunderland)
Player of the Month: Danny Welbeck (Sunderland)
Young Player of the Month: Tom Cleverly (Wigan Athletic)
Goal of the Month: Fernandinho (Manchester City vs Blackpool)

United Rampant as Roma Are Put to the Sword

A Manchester United masterclass saw them sweep aside AS Roma to reach the Champions League Final. Roma had the edge after a 3-2 victory at home, but Manchester United ended their hopes with a 5-1 mauling. Hernandez opened the scoring for the hosts in the 15th minute. Goals from Park and Rooney gave the Red Devils a 3-0 lead at half time. Roma hit back with a goal from Totti to give them an outside shot. It was not to be though, as another goal from Rooney was followed by a Giggs strike to ensure Man Utd would play Real Madrid at Wembley.

United Thrash Chelsea To Go Top

In a pivotal game in the title race, Manchester United came out on top at Old Trafford. United were off to a flyer after just two minutes when Park Ji-Sung headed home a Ryan Giggs corner. Javier Hernandez doubled the lead in the 25th minute. Chelsea hit back right after the restart through Fernando Torres, but Hernandez pounced on a great cross from Evra to restore United's two-goal cushion. The rout was completed with seven minutes left with a cheeky chip by Antonio Valencia. The result sends the Red Devils one point clear of their London rivals with only two games remaining. The title is now in United's hands.

Arsenal Edge United in FA Cup Final

Man Utd came up short at Wembley against Arsenal. Laurent Koscielny stabbed home two Cesc Fabregas corners to hand Arsenal the trophy. United pulled one back through Hernandez, but they could not come up with the goods in this match.
