See how much the twins mean to us SB? It's a disgrace that you sold Rafa and loaned Fabio.

Yeah, except it's my save. You've got your own thread that you refuse to update.Kuled wrote:See how much the twins mean to us SB? It's a disgrace that you sold Rafa and loaned Fabio.

Man Utd Take Home Community Shield
Manchester United edged Arsenal in a close encounter to beat their rivals in a penalty shoot-out. Man Utd got off to a good start from a Wayne Rooney goal, but Jack Wilshere equalised for Arsenal after Laurent Koscielny was sent off for a bad tackle. Wayne Rooney then missed a penalty before restoring Man Utd's lead. Nemanja Vidic soon doubled the lead shortly after the restart with a header from a corner. It stayed at 3-1 until injury time, where Altintop and Arshavin sent the game to penalties. Debutant David De Gea saved Bogdan Stancu's spot kick, allowing Park Ji-Sung to fire home the winning penalty.

I'm thinking of selling Evra and buying Lahm. Only if Barca offer £35M+ though.

Man Utd Celebrate Early Double
Manchester United came up top in the European Super Cup against Europa League winners Liverpool. A classy brace from Javier Hernandez gave the Red Devils a deserved win on the night. United have already won the Community Shield, so this is their second success of the season.

August/September Review
Manchester United started the season well, remaining unbeaten at the end of September. They have won the last eight games without conceding a single goal. They followed that with a 4-0 hammering of Newcastle, and three straight 3-0 victories over Wovles, Middlesborough, and Fulham. Basel were beaten 4-0 in the Champions League, and Lyon were dispatched 2-0. United will face Arsenal in the fourth round of the League Cup after a 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

I quoted the last transfer summary, and that had van Nistelrooy. Thanks for pointing it out.Snoopy wrote:What was De Gea doing in Hamburg

October Review
Manchester United remained unbeaten in all competitions at the end of October. David De Gea stretched his clean sheet streak to 780 minutes before eventually being beaten by Marouane Fellaini. In the league, Man Utd began the month by beating Blackburn. They then beat Everton thanks to a late goal by Rooney against his former club. Napoli were beaten 4-1 in the Champions League, and a rested side edged West Brom 2-1 thanks to a brilliant late winner by Mame Biram Diouf. Arsenal were blown away 3-0 in the League Cup, setting up a tasty quarter-final clash at home to Leeds United. That win extended their winning streak to 13 games, before a late Modric goal meant United had to settle for a draw against table toppers Spurs.
Awards:
Manager of the Month: Kenny Dalglish (Liverpool)
Player of the Month: Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
Young Player of the Month: Junior Stanislas (West Ham United)
Goal of the Month: Artem Milevskyi (Blackburn Rovers vs Stoke City)

Re: SBSP's Manchester United save
November Review
Manchester United won all seven of their games in November. A late goal by substitute Berbatov gave them a narrow win over Napoli to book their place in the last sixteen. That was followed by an unimpressive win over Swansea, and an entertaining 3-2 win over Sunderland. Stoke were beaten 4-1. Basel were thrashed 4-0. In this match, Javier Hernandez scored his third consecutive brace, and ninth overall this season. He has yet to score a hat trick this season, despite all those doubles. West Ham were beaten 3-1, and Leeds were sent packing from the League Cup. United will play West Ham away in the League Cup Semi Final, and Everton in the FA Cup 3rd Round. Man Utd's great form kept them at the top of the table and earned their manager the Barclays Manager of the Month award.
Awards:
Manager of the Month: Abraar Akhter (Manchester United)
Player of the Month: David Silva (Manchester City)
Young Player of the Month: Nathan Delfouneso (Newcastle United)
Goal of the Month: Carlos Tevez (Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers)
