Man Utd Win Club World Cup
Manchester United took home the title of the best team in the world after defeating Japan's Okayama FC and Brazil's SC Internacional in the Club World Cup. A tap in from Ruud van Nistelrooy and an own goal gave them victory in the semi final, before Javier Hernandez and a Nani penalty gave them a deserved win in the final. It is the third trophy Man Utd have won this season, after the Community Shield and the Super Cup.

December Review
Manchester United played a total of nine games in all competitions in December. A great win over Chelsea was followed by a mauling at the hands of Lyon in the Champions League - their first loss of the season. That was followed by a poor draw at Aston Villa, but Man Utd picked themselves up to win the Club World Cup. Bolton were demolished 5-0, but United lost their unbeaten run in the league to their fierce rivals Liverpool. There was joy in the Manchester Derby, however, and Man Utd ended the year with a 3-0 victory at Newcastle. Rooney's great form earned him third place in the World Golden Ball and second in Player of the Year. Rooney took home the Striker of the Year award, with strike partner Chicharito coming second.

Macheda and Welbeck.
Dang, I thought it was a cup match, so I rested everyone. Turns out it was the league.

Why is he even asking to sell Gibson. If someone is stupid enough to give me an offer I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Good choice, I would prefer him to Marin, but still good choices. Reasonable price.

January Review
Manchester United were in great form again in January, moving four points clear at the top of the league. The began the new year with a 1-0 win over Cardiff that was much more one sided than the scoreline shows. They then knocked Everton out of the FA Cup, but were held to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the League Cup semi final. Wolves, Cardiff, and Middlesborough were hammered 4-0, 3-1, and 4-1 respectively. In the last game, Javier Hernandez hit his 30th goal of the season. West Ham were put to the sword in the second leg, putting Man Utd against Spurs in the final. In the FA Cup Fourth Round, United were held to a 0-0 draw against rivals City, meaning a replay would be needed to see who would play Wrexham in the Fifth Round. Nani was in great form this month, and was rewarded with the Barclays Player of the Month Award, with Wayne Rooney coming third.
Awards:
Manager of the Month: Arsene Wenger (Arsenal)
Player of the Month: Nani (Manchester United)
Young Player of the Month: Nathan Delfouneso (Newcastle United)
Goal of the Month: Douglas Costa (Sunderland vs Cardiff City)
