Re: Exam results discussion thread.
I got CCE in my last round. But it all added up to BBE, so I've got the job done.

I appreciate peoples honesty in here. Those who don't do as well as they hoped, simply resit and come back stronger. Just like Ben Kenobi

Re: Exam results discussion thread.
People like that fuck me off. We had someone in year 11 get 15 A*s and an A or something. She was upset at the A.

Re: Exam results discussion thread.
It's understandable. Some people are happy with just getting C's if they know that's their limit, so if they end up getting below what they expected then it's bound to upset them. At the same time others will dread getting anything close to a C and are aiming for the top marks. So if your super confident in your ability and expect A*'s then getting a single A from the whole bunch will probably piss you off.
GCSE's are worthless anyway. They seem all important at the the time but they mean fuck all and simply act as a stepping stone for college.

Cam wrote:In my mocks, i got

I feel that the Classics and History real exams went better than the mocks, and my English Coursework should boost me up by a grade.. so I could be looking at three A's, but that's probably just wishful thinking.
Biology is a lost cause, although I actually revised for the Biology exam, like I didn't for the mock, but I don't really care what I got in Biology
Final score:
History: B
Classics: B
English: C
Biology: U
Bit disappointed by that C so im going to resit.

Re: Exam results discussion thread.
I took history for a GCSE. Extremely interesting subject but the actual work has got to be one of the most difficult and tedious things ever.

Nice. Out of all them Religious Studies must have been the easiest. Does it work the same way as it does in school?Ted wrote:

No way man, Religion was the hardest. Most of it isn't actually about the Bible or whatever it's about all these ethical theories and philosophy.

Re: Exam results discussion thread.
Religious studies is fairly simple once one gets a basic understanding of the different philosophical theories . I would have had an A if I hadn't screwed up just one question. And A's are good.

Re: Exam results discussion thread.
B in Ethic, B in English lit, E in Politics. Meets the requirement of CCC and whatever that equates to.Ordinary grades from my POV, but then again after AS I had little hope of getting through.

Looks like I won't be going to any good Universities.
Just saw 'History with Creative Writing' as a course, which seems like a dream come true.

Re: Exam results discussion thread.
Yeah fairly happy. 2 resits means I only have 3 January exams, should be able to get history and sociology up to at least a C.Ted wrote:Well done Daniel. Happy with your results?
Getting exactly the same in my business resit is a little annoying, but I'm dropping that anyway.
