At least in the Premier League there is an atmosphere and passion in the game, that sounds like such an idiotic English thing to say like I'm Ray Wilkins or something but it's true, I get fucking bored with La Liga, rather watch Stoke v Wigan than Villarreal v Valencia tbh.
Try watching a Wigan home game and repeating English passion.
You should watch Athletic Club games then. They play an almost English style(more technical obviously) game AND have passionate fans. Perfect for your tastes.

To be honest I don't watch Wigan games at home, but if it's on TV it's usually against a big team so it interests me, therefore I enjoy it more.Jamie wrote:kyro7 wrote:Yeah but when you're not watching a team like Barca or Madrid it's fucking boring watching La Liga, dead games.Jamie wrote:Rest of La Liga >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> West Brom, Wigan, Stoke etc shitheap matches.

Liverpool fans think they are among the top 5 clubs in England, so you have to include them in your top 5.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Athletic Bilbao are a huge club, they aren't comparable to Wigan More like Spurs standards.
The rest of the Spanish league are worse than their English counterparts for one reason, money.
A team that comes 17th in the La Liga gets 20 times less than the champions while in the Barclays Premier League 17th place gets about £7 million pounds less, purely prize money and league TV revenue that is.
Only think that is working in Spain's favour is that they develop their youth better than England.

Actually just remembered Bielsa took over. I doubt he'll get them playing a traditional English style. (He was Chile's manager in the world cup)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy good football, like I'll watch Villarreal, Valencia, Atleti etc but I just prefer the English game. Reports we are in serious talks with this McCourt guy. Also, rumours that DC is in Spain talking to Atletico about Forlan and Godin. Apparently Falcao is on the verge of signing for Atletico so that would free Forlan up?
Thoughts on his end product/age?

Only think that is working in Spain's favour is that they develop their youth better than England.
What makes you think they are worse than their English counterparts? Because RM and Barca beat the piss out of them? That's not really fair. Here are the results between English clubs and Spanish clubs in the last two seasons
Barcelona 3-1 Man Utd
Tottenham 0-1 Real Madrid
Real Madrid 4-0 Tottenham
Barcelona 3-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-1 Barcelona
Man Utd 1-1 Valencia
Valencia 0-1 Man Utd
Atletico 2-1 Fulham
Liverpool 1-2 Atletico
Atletico 1-0 Liverpool
Barcelona 4-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-2 Barcelona
Now it looks to me from that like the top 2 Spanish sides beat the top English sides just as easily as they beat the other top Spanish sides, and the mid-table Spanish sides put up a much better fight against the top English sides than they do against the Spanish sides, and beat their mid-table counterparts from England.
