This. Arsenal and Chelsea both drawing.
Hope it follows onto the Man United game. Doubt it though.
Annoying that we should be 2 points ahead of them both.

Ino, some ground breaking stuff.
Wouldn't start comparing points/league positions till about October/November.

I'l cry if we buy a slow center back.

Fucking hell, it was the first game of the season. You can't win every game. Chelsea should be beating Stoke, guess what, they drew 0-0 today, that's them out the title race then.

The result will seem a lot better if we manage to beat Arsenal next weekend, if not loads of people will go into panic mode already

Rumours making their rounds that Gary Cahill will be a Liverpool player soon. Will try and get confirmation. #LFC

The deal should be confirmed after the Sunderland game, with Ngog to be used as part of the deal. #LFC

Also, one of Liverpool's fringe players is likely to spend the season on loan at Bolton Wanderers. Joe Cole would fit with Lee out

If we get Cahill for cash + N'Gog then we really need to buy another striker, if not it could backfire later in the season if Carroll gets injured again

Carroll did fuck all for you last season and there are mountains of statistics that Liverpool fans have been promoting that show you were amazing in that period.

I agree, id rather we hadnt of signed Carroll tbh but i know i would get flamed by some if i said it like i did on rawk, but kenny is too stubborn to drop him, even though he slows down play

Don't agree with that at all. If there's one thing that Kenny's not, it's stubborn.

Wouldn't get me hopes up.
But we badly need an other center halve, that has some pace about him and can play the high defensive line.
We have pacey athletic full backs, who try to go up the wings and support the wingers. Doesn't help when these full backs push up, the center backs are 10-20 yards in there own half. Sunderland exploited this, because they got the ball behind the full backs, and cut inside and tried to take on the two center backs.
But with Carragher or Soto in the team, we can't play the high defensive line because that would be suicidal. Put a half decent striker against them, and on the counter we are fucked. Plus yesterday the center mids where all over the pitch, with them trying to get the balance from supporting Carroll and players up the pitch and protecting the deep back four. With time, they should get the balance right.
Hopefully with some more games, the fitness will pick up and the team will start to gel.
Looking forward to see Carroll vs Arsenal defence though. Each game he is getting better. Players should be looking to play at his feet more, because he is good on the deck. And not his fault players are hoofing it too him.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Jordan, we did play a high line yesterday, I can't fathom why you keep saying we played deep, we never.
The problem wasn't anything tactical yesterday in my view, first half we were brilliant, second, not so good, we simply just lost our way in the second half and we couldn't sustain the quality we showed in the first half, it's as simple as that mate. Far as I'm concerned, Kenny got it right, did nothing wrong, the players just didn't keep the quality up, that's football.
