The problem wasn't anything tactical yesterday in my view, first half we were brilliant, second, not so good, we simply just lost our way in the second half and we couldn't sustain the quality we showed in the first half, it's as simple as that mate. Far as I'm concerned, Kenny got it right, did nothing wrong, the players just didn't keep the quality up, that's football.
In the first half, yes we did.

Second half, we went deeper and deeper an invited pressure on our selves. Through fitness took it toll.

Can't wait to see the team after a few games together and players fully fit. replicate what we did in the first half, and this season will be exciting. eek2

If Cahill does sign then he needs to be a starter along side Agger/Skrtel. Our starting eleven is one player away from being a solid side. The problem in defence at the moment is Carragher. He and Kenny know that, but nobody's doing fuck all about it. Gone are the days where Carra should be starting every game. He's to old and hasn't got the legs to play every game in a season.

I respect Carra and what he has done for us, but he needs to do the right thing for the team and take a bit of a back seat from here on in.

I honestly think Kenny will be starting Agger and Skrtel when they're both fit.

That would be our best eleven. Even with Adam coming in for Aquilani, we would still have a solid side.

Forget putting Gerrard in your strongest line ups. Gone are them days, long gone. Got talking to a mate of Gerrard's last night, and let's just say, the discussion wasn't promising.

He's fucked then aye Dean Laughing

Still think Gerrard has about another season of starting games in him. He will be fired up to get back in to the swing of things. If he doesn't then Kenny needs to have the same attitude and drop him to the bench. No point in being sentimental anymore, we need to get back in that top 4.

Links to the club? Laughing I was speaking to Gerrard's mate last night in the pub, that's all. Gerrard's 'local', loads of his family and mates drink in there. What you have to remember is, I grew up in exactly the same place as Gerrard, so knowing his family/friends etc... isn't exactly a foreign thing.

As I said to Dena, I would officially class myself as 'In The Know' when it comes to Gerrard. shifty

Right here's the Gerrard latest and what I got told last night:

He hasn't got a groin, he's actually got a metal plate inserted in the groin area (the injury was that severe, basically the groin was falling off, he had to have an insertion otherwise he'd never of played again, it wasn't an option, Gerrard weren't keen, however, it wasn't an option) the injury was worse than first thought and it's took a lot longer to heal than expected, he only started 'running' a couple of weeks ago and he's still having pain when he's hitting the ball.

He will return in September if everything goes smoothly (don't bank on it) and will be able to play, however his mate seems to think there is no way he'll ever be as good as he was or anywhere near as effective, he's under the impression, Gerrard will struggle to get in the team as he just simply will not be able to play at that level week in week out, his groin won't be able to take the pressure and strain. You can't play at this level for Liverpool with an injury as severe as this. However everyone's behind Stevie and people are still confident he'll make a good comeback, it's just gunna' be really hard for him, but you can't write Steven Gerrard off can you? So we've just got to sit tight. But as far as I know, the general consensus is, he's gunna' struggle to return.

I'll be devastated if he never recovers. Never got a chance to say goodbye.

Seriously. Who do you replace Gerrard with? Henderson could be a similar player in the future, but we need someone. That main man in midfield who can change a game. Once he's gone, we'll be heavily reliant on Suarez to deliver the goods. Another reason to hold on to Aquilani in my eyes.

Laughing He hasn't literally got 'no groin', but when he injured it in training, the bone was hanging off, it was in pretty bad bad shape, when he did it, he was on floor screaming in agony, the pain was that bad. So due to the groin being in such bad shape, he's had to have a metal plate screwed in to his groin-al area , to keep it all together.
