Steven Gerrard has played in the centre of midfield for most of his career. He can play on the wing and can also play as a CF being the striker, like he did with Fernando Torres.

To be fair though if we're talking about players who've been dominant in the premier league it's quite difficult to miss Gerrard
I'm not sure why people are classifying him as a second striker, he's nothing like Bergkamp, Del Piero, Totti or Messi. I'd faster call him a midfielder ala Iniesta than a second striker. People who are saying centre forward doesn't know what a centre forward is, cause that's a Shearer type striker

I expect that will be what will happen, the vote for strikers will be done similarly to this poll, people will have the option of selecting two out and out strikers, an out and out striker and a SS, or even two SSs, might get the best out of Ronaldo.
