7 goals and 14 assists from 37 games this season so far for Milner.

Cba to search for it but I remember getting slaughtered for posting an article praising Milner and saying he could do a job here.

He's certainly done an excellent job in helping Liverpool reach the top 4.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Don't recall saying he'd pull that off.
RR, has any United player matched Milner's goals/assists stat this season?
Scott_LFC wrote:ResurrectionRooney wrote:It blows my fucking mind that Milner has been offered four years on £165,000 a week by City, turned it down, and has several other clubs after him. I'm half convinced this is all an enormous practical joke at his expense and they've used decimal points in the contract figures instead of commas.
If that blows your mind, you must be a tad stupid. There's a reason he's highly sought after. Not only are City desperate to keep ahold of him, but Arsenal have been in talks with him too, if that's not enough to convince you that maybe your perception of Milner's talents are wrong, then I don't know what is.
Milner is criminally underrated and is a great player to have in the squad. Certainly an upgrade on the modern-day Steven Gerrard if he were to come to us. I just can't envision him letting the game bypass him so easily, like we'd see with Gerrard. (Tbh, that's not saying much, actually. I personally feel like offloading Gerrard feels more like a new signing, rather than it feeling like we're losing a player He's costed us in so many games and our win percentage with him was shocking last season, compared to without him.)
Is he worth the £150,000 a week and the apparent £8-10 million signing on fee, though? I'm not so sure.
But it's not hard to see why he's a wanted man.

I thought it was stupidly high for his age as much as his ability. I'm surprised by how well he's done, but I don't think he'll still be doing it in a couple of years time.

Maybe Klopp can move him to right-back to plug that horrendous defence.

In the last 3 months, Liverpool and Arsenal have pretty much identical defensive records in the League. Maybe you should sign Milner to improve your defence.

Your sense of humour is nearly as bad as RR's.
I don't sign and I don't claim benefits, so no.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
His assists are pretty hilarious, to be fair. He has been grabbing them in numbers recently but I don't really look at any of his crosses and think that it was a particularly devilish ball. He is probably the most effective hit-and-hope crosser in the sport.

Finally a nice home shirt again. The last 2 were pretty shit with the stupid white fangs/gold lines around the collar. Glad they ditched that.

Just looked at the League table and realised that if we win our game in hand, we are only 4 points off 4th and 6 points off 3rd.
City and Arsenal have to play each other too.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Should have known we'd pretend our best defender has been taking drugs, litter our team with youth and reserve players, do Rafa a favour and tell Mignolet to gift them a goal and then even take the Welsh Pirlo off to further his cause. We probably would have purposely missed the 2 stonewall penalties too, had they been given.
Looks like all our eggs are firmly in the Europa basket, as if that won't backfire, especially now that the most in form striker in the League, Origi, is now injured .
Oh well, onto next season.

PED actually explain why Sakho has been playing alright recently. Makes sense that as soon as Liverpool are forced to drop that cheat they go back to being awful.

Also Sturridge is suddenly going injury-free and lots of their players are galloping around for 90 minutes without taking a breath literally.Keyser Söze wrote:Theo Filippo wrote:It's in the disabled toilets.
