It's the Carling Cup, I'm sure most Liverpool fans would prefer they went out.

I'm indifferent.  I prefer winning to extra time, I suppose, and this might inspire some confidence in Balotelli and Lovren, but I would have preferred 3 points against Hull and a loss tonight.

I only saw the second half.  He looked okay-miles better than Lambert-and his assist was fantastic, nowhere near an adequate replacement for Sturridge, though.  Still, I would play him alongside Balotelli until Sturridge comes back.  We've tried every variation of a one-striker system and have looked dreadful, so it can't hurt to have a second striker with his energy on the field.

Don't you know? Scott's a changed man. He no longer just envys people that aren't emotionally invested in football, he's now one of them. It's just coincidentally happened to coincide with Liverpool being shit.

Sensible Liverpool fans aren't upset at the moment because they heeded my warning that this would happen.

When will BR learn that the team does not play well with Mario up front on his own...Why doesn't Borini get a start?
