Re: 2014/15 UEFA Champions League Thread
In essence I don't think these so called "local" fans class themselves as non-glory hunters because they simply live close to the club. I think it's born out of the fact the close proximity allows them to go to games on a regular basis and that's the prerogative for being a non-glory hunter.

I remember when supporters of little clubs would go on about glory hunting, on here. Like James (Hull).

Re: 2014/15 UEFA Champions League Thread
so you're saying Arsenal fans can't be glory hunters because they haven't won a trophy for 9 years?Ra's al Ghul wrote:Because you literally are a glory hunter in that you support multiple teams in the hope that at least one of them is successful. I'm not. If what I sought from watching football was glory then I wouldn't have supported a team that spent nine years without doing anything remotely glorious. I support the team that I do because they entertain me which should be the criterion by which anyone chooses the team(s) they support, not because their mothers happened to expel them from their uteri within close proximity of a particular stadium.

He's saying that if he is a glory hunter, he's not a very intelligent one-if glory is the only motivating factor, why stick with a team that delivers so little glory?

The point was pretty self-evident, it didn't need further elaboration. He's just either being dense or pretending to be. Either way, he's not worth your time.

Never a red. The childish reaction by the Chelsea players was so pathetic.

Diego Costa should've been sent off there.

PSG can be extremely proud of their performance tonight. Much the better side and deserve to be through.

Only positive I can take from this is that Bayern or Barca will rout Chelsea if they play like this again.

PSG have actually been brilliant in the CL for three seasons now, always gone out in unlucky/marginal circumstances.

Brain dead for slapping the ball like that but very good besides. Something like his best and much better the the shitty performances he's been putting out for months now.

Fair enough. He's been average once or twice this year but other than that I agree with you he's been good in the dozen games he's played. But before this year he wasn't anywhere near his best since before the WC.

Re: 2014/15 UEFA Champions League Thread
I see Neville the bumboy didn't criticise he darling Courtois for the winning PSG goal. Came out and didn't get anywhere near the corner then couldn't backtrack to his goal line in time to save the goal.

Tbf thats not really Courtois fault its obvious he's told to come off his line for corners, during the game he must have collected 5 or 6 high balls like that from set pieces

Re: 2014/15 UEFA Champions League Thread
So when he comes and gets the ball we praise him but when he gets nowhere near it we can't criticize him?
