Liverpool would have had Porto if they'd qualified.

Wenger is a genius, deliberately let a 3 goal lead slip so we'd get an easy draw.

I actually enjoyed parts of that game. I like seeing Giroud and Ozil playing like mongoloids. I've been telling people Giroud and Ozil are filthy but because they put in mediocre performances against poverty teams all of a sudden I'm "underrating" them.

it truly is pathetic how people who don't come from the same country as the team they support try to rationalise and come up with sad excuses as to why they aren't a glory hunter. i embraced being a glory hunter around 1.5 years ago and now i support several teams (mostly players).Glen Miller wrote:Quite possibly your best ever post.vel wrote:this is why you support several teams

I think glory hunter is a bit of a patronizing term, but I'm definitely one.vel wrote:it truly is pathetic how people who don't come from the same country as the team they support try to rationalise and come up with sad excuses as to why they aren't a glory hunter. i embraced being a glory hunter around 1.5 years ago and now i support several teams (mostly players).Glen Miller wrote:

Because some people don't have access to a good local team. As you rightly noted, I grew up in Philadelphia, and I'll be jolly rogered if I'm going to form some sort of emotional connection with that shower of mediocrity.vel wrote:how is it patronising? perfect example of being a whiny faggot, you're American and from Philly yet you glory hunt Liverpool simple

Yes, but it does have to exist. Philadelphia only came into being 5/6 years ago.

No it wasn't Monaco is an easy draw. Simple as. And it's even easier when they have five 1st team players missing. If we can't beat them or if we play like we did yesterday then that's a reflection on how shit we were.
Fair enough if you want to have a go at us for how abysmal we played yesterday, but picking at the fact we called Monaco an easy tie is retarded.

Srs. Think you'll win 4-0. Isn't your away record in Europe this season fire?

No, not at all. Drew 0-0 with Besiktas, lost 2-0 to Dortmund (could have been a cricket score), a very, very lucky 2-1 win vs Anderlecht and beat a spastic Galatasaray 4-1.

Some kunt on Twitter said that it was good, and I foolishly believed him.
"Monaco may have beat us at home, but our away form in the Champions League is too good. Can see us banging 4 in. Calling it."
Lmao.

No, it isn't. I genuinely didn't have a local team because my family was constantly on the move. The Premier League was the only league to which I had consistent access.

Re: 2014/15 UEFA Champions League Thread
Because you literally are a glory hunter in that you support multiple teams in the hope that at least one of them is successful. I'm not. If what I sought from watching football was glory then I wouldn't have supported a team that spent nine years without doing anything remotely glorious. I support the team that I do because they entertain me which should be the criterion by which anyone chooses the team(s) they support, not because their mothers happened to expel them from their uteri within close proximity of a particular stadium.
