Dirk Kuyt is a good, good man, I do not expect that he will join that shower of lunatics.

So apparently, Fergie turned down James Rodriquez for £5m and opted for Bebe instead.
Another genius move, along with pushing Pogba out.

Kaka arrived in Orlando today, signing will be official tomorrow, I believe. He will play on loan with Sao Paolo until the start of the season next year.

Southampton have received more for Lallana and Shaw than Milan got for Ibrahimovic and Tiago Silva.

Watching the run-in towards the end of last season was unbelievable, not just for myself but everyone involved in football. It got the hairs on the back of my neck standing up just watching them, and the style of football they were playing. Deep down, I was thinking to myself: hopefully one day I'll be able to play in that team. That dream has become a reality now, so I can't wait for that to get started."
My god, this quote grates me.

We got more for Torres than we spent on Sturridge and Coutinho.
Carroll cost more than Suarez
Fabregas cost less than Fellaini
There's fuck loads of examples of that kind of thing.

A better reply would have been "What success?", to show that he doesn't consider winning nothing in the most agonising fashion possible to be a success. Loser's mentality.

success
səkˈsɛs/Submit
noun
1.
the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
Considering our aim was to challenge for 4th, we were very successful.

If that's the limit of your ambitions then Lallana is a good signing.

No worse than Lambert.
Liverpool were Lambert's boyhood club, and he didn't threaten to strike, or anything like that.
Lallana has burnt his bridges down here, Lambert hasn't.

Because Southampton were refusing to let him go to a Club he really wants to go to. It would be like me hating Suarez when he goes to Barca.

Our first team was good enough to challenge for the League. Our bench/depth is what needs improving. Lallana is a huge upgrade on Moses/Aspas and now we have 3 players of similar level challenging for what's likely to be 2 spots (Lallana, Sterling and Coutinho). Although, I hope we also sign either Sanchez or Shaqiri.

You burnt your fucking bridges when you held him at the club against his will to try and screw more money out of Liverpool, despite receiving offers well in excess of anything you ever invested in him. Southampton slapped him in the face, you can't be pissed off when he responds to that.

It was, it won't be this year. Your defence is wank, your midfield is reliant on a dinosaur who will let you down at key moments and your star player is leaving. There's no way Lallana's been signed to play the Moses/Aspas role. You'll have a good challenge for fourth with players like him and Lambert though.

How is our midfield reliant on our worst player?

"It won't be this year". Dat dere oracle.
Our defence was poor but our attack made up for it and we came 2nd. We will make defensive reinforcements.
Lol at our midfield being "reliant" on Gerrard. How does that work? I am hoping Can will turn it on, but we'll see.
Lallana hasn't been signed to play the Aspas/Moses role, but one of Lallana/Sterling/Coutinho will be on the bench now (rotational), which in comparison to having to resort to throwing Moses on, is a big difference.
Our star player apparently is a stat padder who doesn't actually score winning goals, so I don't think that'll hurt us too much
Suarez going to Barcelona almost certainly means Sanchez coming the other way, which is not like for like, but still pretty damn good. Plus we'll have cash to spend.

Don't need to be an oracle to realise that United, Chelsea and maybe City are going to be stronger. Even if everything goes right for you and you're able maintain your level from last season, it won't be enough to make another title run. Fourth place is a good realistic ambition though.

If Suarez had gone to Arsenal last season I bet you would have hated him at least a bit.
