Very small difference in quality between those players and Xavi.
Yeah, that is true. Still not sure if he's going into a good situation though. They'll be playing on a baseball field which will be smaller, new team (good manager though), high expectations. It might help to have Villa there with him, and New Yorkers tend to be Eurosnobs who love them a big name, but I think NYCFC should have gone after someone else.
Anyway, Deportivo Mundo had the headline of Adios to Xavi today, but Sport says Xavi stays. So it's still up in the air whether he moves or not.
I forgot those fucks are playing in Yankee Stadium, so lame....

NYCFC is going to announce tomorrow that they have signed Lampard to a deal worth $8m/year making him the highest paid player in MLS
And DeMarcus Beasley is going to Houston.

Exactly what I was thinking. Balanta would need some bedding in but he checks all the boxes Mathieu does.

Man City escaped FFP to splash money elsewhere.

I disagree. I think NYCFC is turning into a retirement home. It's funny to see them pay more money for one 36 year old than my team's entire payroll. It'll be funny next year to see them flop with all their high expectations.

If Scuba Steve wants to ridicule that transfer he can. It's indefensible, such a fucking stupid transfer.

If he replaces Lukaku yeah. But as a third/fourth choice striker with at least Costa and Lukaku as the other options then it isn't too bad. Especially with Lampard and Cole gone and Cech likely to go as well.
Although I'd rather of kept Eto'o if I had the choice out of third choice strikers on a free transfer.

If he terrorizes Arsene Wenger one more time, this transfer will totally be worth it.

Can't believe Mourinho isn't in love with Lukaku. Everyone else in the world is.

Re: Summer Transfers 2014
Chambers to Arsenal.
If he's replacing Vermaelen than I'm more than fine with it, he'd be a decent replacement. If he's taking up money that could be used on a DM and ST then I'm not.
