Maybe if he was Northern Irish.
Toure, Cissokho, the emergence of Wisdom-we have really become quite progressive as a club.

We took 26 shots against a rough, tough, defensive Stoke. 10 on target.
Chelsea only managed 22 shots with just 5 on target against arguably the worst team in the League.
It's clear we're going to win the League.

A Mignolet, a Mignolet, a Mignolet, a Mignolet and King Kolo have made mighty Garth Crook's team of the week.

I don't even think Toure got in just because Crooks is a racist, he got in on his own merit. Lovely stuff.

Thoughts on Sturridge's celebration this weekend? His Balotelli-esque non-reaction/cocky arms in the air "look at me" pose.
I would have preferred it if he showed his genuine excitement and ran towards the crowd or something.
Henderson's perfected it.

If they do, United might as well give Rooney the Premier League trophy to take with him, because that's where it will be heading.

Richard Buxton @Richard_Buxton_ 1m
#LFC still in the driving seat for Willian despite #Spurs' late interest. Wages unlikely to be an obstacle to bring the playmaker to Anfield
Cunts keep repeating the same shit.
Bet it turns into another Mkhitaryan/Costa.

We'll see if Will.i.an is in it for the dollars or the love of a fanbase in the coming days. He can sit on the bench behind the likes of Lennon and Sigurdsson next season or he can feel the warmth of the Kop every other week.

Nobody joins Spurs for the money, they have a pretty strict wage structure. They join so they can have the enjoyment of finishing one place below Arsenal on the last day of the season

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Keyser, Crooks also waxed lyrical about Rooney in his explanation for picking van Persie.
"Mr Moyes should take note, however, as Van Persie's second goal was beautifully crafted by Wayne Rooney. I suggest he thinks long and hard before making any further pronouncements about Rooney being "second choice" to anyone."
He also had to mention Rooney in Evra's paragraph as well.
"Evra has started 143 games for Manchester United in the Premier League since the start of 2009-10. Only Wayne Rooney (111) and Michael Carrick (107) have also started more than 100."

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I was quite shocked by this during the game, and would hate to see my team ever do this. Yes, it was a huge save at the most defining moment of the match. But the game was still going on, and the first reaction really should have been to find someone to mark on the corner. At a minimum, I would have expected Gerrard to get everybody in line, but it was nice to see Mignolet take charge of the situation.Moriarty wrote:

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It's probably down to the sheer disbelief of the moment. It would have been so typical for us to have let our lead slip in the last 2 minutes and for the last couple of years, we've gotten used to Reina conceding pretty much every penalty we've faced. Not just that, but we hadn't actually saved a penalty at Anfield in the League since 1999 or something crazy like that, so it was doubly huge.
Also, the players saw that the ball went out for a corner and saw that Stoke weren't in a rush to take it, i.e, none of the Stoke players went bombing it down to the corner flag to take the corner and most of the other players had their head in their hands, due to missing the penalty. This is shown by the fact that even after all that celebrating, there was still time to organise the defense in preparation for the corner, which we cleared with ease.
Besides, when have you ever seen a goal conceded due to celebrations after a saved penalty?
