You seem to be defending homosexuality quite aggressively. Is there something you'd like to tell us?Scott M wrote:Nothing funny about homosexuality. The Zlatan wrote:lol gay.

"But there's no doubt Jamie Carragher's experience will be missed at the back. It wouldn't be surprising if Stoke get their first ever Premier League goal in front of the Kop."

I predict 1-1, we open the scoring, let in some sloppy goal than fail to score again in the remaining 50 minutes. A scenario I'm far too familiar with.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It's crazy how our net spend after acquiring Aspas, Alberto, Toure, Mignolet and Cissokho is minus £5 million.
That is incredibly impressive, considering how much of an improvement the squad is now, compared to last season.
It also means we can afford to spend £30 million on Willian, easily. (or any other big-name, expensive signing)

Glen Johnson scoring in our 4-0 win over Stoke on his Anfield debut in August 2009
He looks so different.

You think Willian is a big name signing ?Scott M wrote:It's crazy how our net spend after acquiring Aspas, Alberto, Toure, Mignolet and Cissokho is minus £5 million.

Meh, it's basically similar to Chelsea signing Yuri Zhirkhov.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I disagree. I'd say proper big-name, massive signings would be the likes of Suarez, Bale, Ronaldo, Higuain, Fabregas etc.Theo Filippo wrote:Meh, it's basically similar to Chelsea signing Yuri Zhirkhov.
Willian, for me, is in the next tier down, amongst the likes of Mkhitaryan, Soldado, Jovetic, Navas etc.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It's strange that so many people rate Willian so highly. I don't how many people in England watch Anzhi on a regular basis. I don't how many people watched Shakhtar on a regular basis. Unless they're going off of his only two international appearances for Brazil, which were friendlies against Gabon and Egypt in 2011.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Oh, well our earlier conversations explain that, but let's not stray from the main subject.
Is there anything about his footballing abilities that you like, or something that stands out, could you compare him to a player in the Premier League so I get a better idea of his talents?

Higuain wouldn't be in that bracket and I don't agree, Willian hasn't even done that much.. he's not played for his national team and he's not done that much at club level.Scott M wrote:I disagree. To me, his stand out talents are his pace, trickery and his ability to beat a man.The Zlatan wrote:Oh, well our earlier conversations explain that, but let's not stray from the main subject.

He was fundamental to Shaktar's attack, along with Mkhitaryan. Very highly rated. I mean, he isn't priced at £30 million for no reasonTheo Filippo wrote:Higuain wouldn't be in that bracket and I don't agree, Willian hasn't even done that much.. he's not played for his national team and he's not done that much at club level.Scott M wrote:I disagree.
