Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Half time.
Alberto is a cracking player. So similar to Coutinho, but a Coutinho-lite, really. Scored a 20 yard volley and his through-ball to Downing in the build-up to Aspas' goal was brilliant.
Not surprised we conceded, with the defence/GK we've got on, but at least it was from a corner and not open play. We've looked pretty solid defensively in open play and have dominated this game.

Nice win, should have been a lot more and still none conceded for mignolet.

PFA chief Gordon Taylor confirms #LFC under no obligation to sell Luis Suarez if offer of £40M is received. The Reds holding all the cards.
Nice one.

Can't see anyone scoring past Mignolet. 38 points is a minimum for this season.

If true ..
Arsenal would regret spending that much, especially as he'll probably want out after a season or two.

Found a gem
"Jesus Christ, imagine if Suarez pulled this shit and KD was still in charge!?
he'd been in the car park challenging him to a fight"
In fairness, it's the sort that is probably all over rawk right now.

Until Aspas scores goals in the Premier League I will doubt his ability
he was utter shit in Melbourne and his goal was so fucking lucky, Suarez basically shot across the goal line and it hit Aspas then rolled into the goal

"We could slap a 60M fee on Suarez and see if Arsenal are willing to pay it."
That would go down well with Arsenal, I imagine. Just keep on raising our asking price despite Suarez making our hand weaker and weaker. It's about time we stuck up to that great bullying brute Arsene Wenger. He's always had it in for the club since Kenneth destroyed him in that verbal joust at the Emirates.

Have you even see any replays of it? He directed it into the net with his foot.
Aspas has really impressed during pre-season. 4 goals and 3 assists, if I recall correctly.
What's Borini done? Fuck all.

Aspas's finishing terrifies me. We can't be having another season where our top goalscorer has 11 goals.

This might have a say:
I have to admit, I was mirin' the DStudge/Phil partnership away from home last season. A dream counterattacking duo.

Could be a nothing rumour, but twitter says Barcelona have made a 17m offer for Agger.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It was interesting that our second string players performed much better than our starters. Either way the game was killed off at 60' when we scored the third. Lucas was completely pointless in this match as we were dominating but I suppose it was just for fitness. Coutinho played some good passes but overall I thought he was pretty sloppy. Alberto impressed, I'm hoping he's settling in and the nerves are leaving so his performances will continue to improve. I liked Assaidi's play at the front, he was eager to play the quick return to set someone up. Judging from the performance we have 6th place locked, may even sneak in a cheeky 5th.

Can't see us challenging the current top 5, especially if Bale stays and Suarez leaves.Dagbon wrote:It was interesting that our second string players performed much better than our starters. Edit: I guess we could "sneak" it, but the cheekiness levels would be extreme.

Borini has been outstanding, I feel given the right support he could be an outstanding player
Chip is right when it comes to saying which players are good
Chip said Henderson would be good, people said Henderson would be shit. Now Henderson is good

They've also had a 40 million bid for Luiz rejected, I judge Agger moving to be more likely.

Don't mind us taking a hard stance on this, it's not like this club is going anywhere. Assuming we don't end up signing a couple of players that improve on last season's team.
