Suarez doesn't deserve to start against Sunderland

Dropping Suarez. Absolute genius, and replace him with who? Downing? Henderson? Cole?
Anyway, I think it's time we started looking for a new goalkeeper. Or Xavi Valero.

So drop our best player for someone we've never seen play?
What's Borini done to deserve to start?

Maybe to rest him, but dropping him all together is ridiculous. Gerrard deserves to be dropped, I'd say Reina does but yeah.

Suarez was fucking shit today, he lost the ball on so many occasions..
I feel sorry for Borini, why the fuck are we playing him out on the right?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Obviously not dropping him all together, but just to show him he's not a permanent starter. He should still get some time against Sunderland, but not the whole 90 minutes. Assaidi deserves a chance to prove himself, Suarez was woeful today and in all honestly despite the goal, he was poor against City.
Also I don't get it. Borini worked with Rodgers at Swansea and Cheslea, so why the fuck isn't he playing him in his best position at Liverpool?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Toothless in attack. I was worried about this.
Suarez refuses to shoot, preferring so often to take on a man that the defenders all read it. His theatrical falls and inevitable appeals mean that referees overlook the actual fouls defenders commit.
Not going to judge Borini too harshly yet, he's being played out wide where the chances don't come, but let's be honest, so far he hasn't offered anything that Downing hasn't apart from dashing good looks.
And so ends our senior striker summary. I like Morgan and he scores whenever I see him, but none of our three strikers look capable of scoring regularly, especially Suarez who seems to waste the easy ones and score the harder ones.
Bottom line is though, we've suffered against teams who put men behind the ball for years. Now if we can't beat, or even score against, teams like Arsenal who come to play football, we'll be fucked come January.

I know, but we can't just drop him because of one game.
Yeah, that doesn't make sense at all, he could be a very good poacher.

It's not one game, he was poor against West Brom and was wasteful against City.

He wasn't great against Man City or West Brom either though.

Suarez may have been shit but you can't drop him unless you've got genuine quality to come in, and we haven't.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
He still creates more than anyone else on the team does though. Borini does nothing out wide, and Sterling, as promising as he looks, is still young and we shouldn't rely on him too heavily.
Assaidi is still unproven and everyone else is shit.

Yeah Suarez had a bad game...so what?
Drop him next week to show him he's not a permanent starter? How about give him a chance to redeem himself?
Shelvey should start next week for either Sahin or Gerrard...preferably Gerrard but I doubt that's gonna happen. He's shown he likes to get forward and shoot at goal.

inb4 Rodgers sacked at end of season. Also, as Cam said, Assaidi. Two proper wingers, with a poacher in the centre.

Oh I get it, Suarez is on a bad run of form so we should drop him for someone who hasn't played in months and that we've never seen play? Great idea.

Don't be so sarcastic, fucking hell.
Generally when someone is on a run of bad form, you drop them or give someone else a chance to play, not saying he should be dropped completely, but give Assaidi a chance.
Or at least play him out on the right and give Borini a chance in the middle, surely it's obvious that the guy who's meant to be the natural finisher should be in the box, not the guy passing into the middle or crossing it
