Then how come spurs get linked closely w Llorente and leandro Damiao. Neither us nor them have cl, we pay more, bigger club etc. all they would have is London. We needed to first broaden our scope for players and look outside u shitty English players and second have some balls
not to be a dick but we have been much better than you in recent years, maybe people see us as up and coming and see Liverpool as a club on the downswing.

He's played like 3 games and scored He also should have scored today, clean through twice but both wrongly called for offside.

His touch is awful and he can't beat a player, he's not fast either.
I'm waiting to see this "superior finishing".

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Give him some time, he didn't have much of the ball today, and as I said he should have had 3 one on one chances today, one was unlucky against the post although he should've scored, and the other two were wrongly called offside.

I'll give him time. Doesn't stop me from saying what I see now.
If my opinion changes in the future, fair enough, fair play to him.
Atm he looks wank though. So many times the ball hits him on the back of the feet.

I can see what you're mean with Borini. But I refuse to call a player anything after two games.

"Ball hits him on the back of his feet" tbh that isn't his fault, the ball should be played in front of him

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I have every right to judge a player after three games.
Some scouts go and watch a player once and then decide whether to look further at them or not.
If I was a scout for Liverpool and watched Borini for the 3 games he played I'd say I don't think it's worth watching him further. That's including his goal.
That's all I'm trying to say. It's bullshit to say "Well it's only been 3 games so I can't say anything".
Like I said, he could be still adapting or whatever, but that doesn't stop me from giving my opinion at the moment.
Opinions can change.

Twitter saying that the Guardian are reporting that Sahin is having a medical tomorrow. This'll be the 3rd time he's signed for a new team in 7 days.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I would wait a couple of months before judging Borini. He seems to me like the type of player who will need time to adjust to the league and the team's style of play. Hernandez, a player quite similar to Borini in playing style and build, didn't start scoring goals in his début season until early October, then his goal scoring form clicked after that. Perhaps the same could apply to Borini or that could be wishful thinking.
At any rate, his mobility and positioning makes him a better option than Carroll.

Didn't see much of Allen against Albion but focused on him tonight, really clean, tidy and composed player. I like him. And what's happening with Sahin, I thought he signed for Arsenal a couple of days ago

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Allen did well I like him. He seemed to calm the whole team down.
Also be great if we get Sahin as it will also mean spearing doesn't play. I think there was a big diff in the team overall when he left for Allen.
That would bolster our midfield which is good but either way the problem is scoring goals. We need forwards and strikers.

Really? I kind of see what you mean in terms of poaching, but I wouldn't say they're that similar.

Brendan Rodgers expects to discover in the next 24 hours whether Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin will join Liverpool on loan.
The manager was asked about a potential move in his press conference following the 1-0 victory over Hearts.
He said: "Hopefully in the next 24 hours we'll get some confirmation on that.
"It's quite far [along the line]. He's a very good footballer."

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It's obvious Mourinho just wants Sahin to go to a lower club to get some playing time then come right back to Madrid. With Arsenal there would be more of a threat of him to stay in London.
It's for the better.
