I'm going to miss Carroll this season. He was our 'Plan B'.

The 23-year-old centre-forward agreed a loan, with an option for a permanent £17m deal next summer. West Ham will pay a £1.5m loan fee to Liverpool and all of Carroll's wages for the 2012-13 season.

Mustang was right all along anyway. Everybody ahead of us seems to have a better frontline. If we don't score goals this season, with our lack of defensive sturdiness from playing a new system/ losing Clarke, we'll finish no better than last year.
