It's for the better.

Hernandez, a player quite similar to Borini in playing style and build, didn't start scoring goals in his début season until early October, then his goal scoring form clicked after that. Perhaps the same could apply to Borini or that could be wishful thinking.
At any rate, his mobility and positioning makes him a better option than Carroll.
Really? I kind of see what you mean in terms of poaching, but I wouldn't say they're that similar.

Why not? Neither player is particularly renowned for holding up the ball against defenders or for their technical ability. They both rely on pace across a short distance and positioning to score goals. Although Hernandez has admittedly improved the physical side and to a certain extent his technique since his début season. Obviously it's not a like for like comparison but you can see a few similarities there.

So Arsenal would risk losing the chance to buy a potentially brilliant midfielder over £12'000 a week.Jordo wrote:Here's the full piece on #Sahin
: Liverpool look set to beat Arsenal to the loan signing of Nuri Sahin
after offering Real Madrid a superior financial package to secure the
midfielder’s signature. Sahin had been expected to join Arsenal but
Liverpool’s willingness to pay a greater proportion of his
£120,000-per-week salary has turned the situation in their favour.
Real have accepted Liverpool’s offer to pay 70 per cent of Sahin’s wages
to take him on loan for the rest of the season. Arsenal had been
prepared to pay only 60 per cent, but were unwilling to accept an option
price of £14 million at the end of the season, and despite the added
lure of Champions League football now look likely to miss out on one of
Arsène Wenger’s summer transfer targets. The Frenchman is considering
his options.

That's how long I'm giving until we start to hear chants of Rodgers out. It's inevitable, these string of fixtures are some of the worst I've ever seen for the start of a season and travelling to fuck ugly Scotland and back isn't going to help when 'attempt' to fend off Manchester City.
We're fucked and the beginning are the season will be our downfall.
