Knill was interested in him when he left Brentford but never put an offer in because we got Parkin on loan, you subsequently signed him after we didn't go for him.

Final scores in our friendlies today Weston 2-2 Bristol Rovers goals from Virgo (40 yard volley) and Clarkson from the spot. The other game which involved mainly the youth team and about 3 first teamers ended Frome 1-0 Bristol Rovers. The frome game was a bunch of 15 year old kids with Joe Anyinsah basically.

Our 'Leeds United XI' which is basically just a youth team beat Alfreton Town 2-0 earlier. Good start to pre-season although opposition hasn't been tough yet.

    Ye, that looks like Monty.

I was at Evesham 1-1 Cheltenham pre season friendly today at their new £1 million pound stadium. Decent crowd of 600ish as well, and it was nice to be able to drink a pint and watch the game.... Game was shite though.

We basically had two sides. The one in the first half included Pack and many other first teamers, but we looked a little lackluster and wasted everything so ended the half at 0-0. Second half was basically our reserves and some trialists, with only really the keeper impressing who even saved a penalty to stop us going 2-0 down. This is our first pre season game, so give it a few games our match sharpness will come back.

Also, yesterday Pack said that he will be seeing out his contract with the club, so we have at least another season of him.
