Sven-Goran Eriksson has no loyalty at all; from Notts. Forest to Leicester to potentially Nottingham Forest. Laughing He won't be a popular man in the East Midlands. shifty

Richard Keogh has finally left to join Derby (linked with half of the league), should be a good player for them.

The rumoured deal is just over £1m + Callum Ball on a year loan. Can't complain with getting £1m for a player with a year left on his contract, even if he was our POTY.

Lost 1-0 yesterday to Ross County (newly promoted SPL team), that's more like the Coventry I know Laughing

Sven did get sacked from pretty much every job he's had,It's not that he's not loyal it's that he cocks up half way through.

Getting back to watching Leeds tonight at Farsley, should be cool because I have a mate who plays for Farsley. Big Leeds fan as well so it's a cool opportunity for him, hope we have some decent names playing.

Squad numbers been released today. Clucas given number 25 and Norburn 15. Only real change I can spot is Eliot Richards moving from 18 to 10 which shows he's rated highly by MM and will be in the plans for the coming season. Youth gradute Mitch Harding will take the 18 shirt.

Two friendly games tomorrow at 3pm. One ad Frome and one in Weston. Trialist David Clarkson will go to Weston while Fabian Broghammer will play a second game for us when he travels to Frome. Squads split down the middle for the games.

I'd agree with that. Very average manager trading on past glories.

Bristol Rovers manager Mark McGhee says they are close to agreeing a deal to sign trialist David Clarkson.

The Scottish striker has been training with the League Two club since his release from local rivals Bristol City.

McGhee, who managed the 26-year-old during their time at Motherwell, told BBC Radio Bristol: "We're talking to his representatives.

"The chairman is busy trying to sort out a deal with him. We're hopeful he will join us."

And although Clarkson would be dropping down two divisions to join Rovers, McGhee warned that the forward would still need to prove his worth.

"I know him as a player who works his socks off for the team and never stops running," he said.

"But he came south and maybe he got a bit complacent. I'm going to challenge him on that because I won't have anyone complacent in my team.

"I need him running those channels, putting people under pressure and chasing lost causes.

"Only then will be become a player worthy of playing for Bristol Rovers."
Sounds promising. McGhee takes no shit. not worthy

What a step down for Clarkson, he's good enough for League One.

I dunno. He's hardly done anything since moving from Scotland. He was a success there under McGhee so that will be a huge pull for him and the fact he has a lot of respect for McGhee.

I'm not sure he'll be first choice anyway. Gills have another faulty keeper and also have another on trial. I hope he's not first choice anyway after reading reviews about him. Why couldn't you give Gazza back. npower Football League Thread - Page 4 817687

Hessenthaler must be feeling like God.
"He is going to be top-notch and
he will play in the Premier League."
He was only on £350 a week at Gillingham too. Signed on a free after being released by Valencia. He only got his chance because Gillingham's number 1 got injured, he recovered but Gazzaniga was so good he never got inbetween the sticks again! npower Football League Thread - Page 4 274189

Gills also signed Ben Strevens. Statisticly, shit. 2 shit players within a day. GFC4LEAGUE2

Ben Strevens is fucking horrible, he also has anger issues. He got sent off on the first day of last season against us because he attacked one of our players after an amazing tackle.

Just got back from the Farsley game, nice 5-2 win. Cruising at 3-0 up at half time then swapped the whole team for kids (and Paynter and Nunez who were and are shit) and they got a couple back, their second was a screamer. Sanchez Payne scored a lovely 5th for us though. It was weird thinking I was paying to watch a good mate play. Laughing

He can't pass, just sticks his head down and runs with it! His footwork can be decent but there's too many times he doesn't beat a man and just loses it. Again his shooting isn't bad but for every one on target he will hash a fair few. Take him, he's transfer listed but got 4 years left on his contract.
