Forest and Leeds are both bigger. West Ham too arguably
Tell me you're joking? Wow...
In terms of stadium size, fanbase, worldwide fame and trophies we rape those teams in every category.
Forest? Apart from winning the European Cup what box do they tick? Leeds? No one gives a shit outside England and you have a tiny stadium. West Ham?
Oh, and for every Heffernan there is an O'Dea.

About what? So you think West Ham, Leeds and Forest are bigger than Celtic? Don't know why I'm asking you Polska as I don't expect an honest answer or any knowledge on the subject.

The argument for trophies is that in SPL only two teams win the title, so you are pretty much certain of more trophies than English clubs.ConorCelticFC wrote:Billy Davies wrote:Wouldn't even be the biggest club in the Football League.

I'm the one who gave evidence for why Celtic are bigger than those clubs (shouldn't have had to though, it's fucking obvious). You're the one who just said 'They are all above Celtic.' Hypocrite.

I can't see it happening next season though. There'd be a hell of a lot of red tape, fans who don't want to move would demand a vote. SFA would put up a fight. I don't see us ever moving to League 1 actually, but I don't think there's any chance of it happening via Portsmouth.

The SPL as a whole is about League one standard anyway, so I guess Celtic are beating sides your granny could walk into, week in week out?

Re: Celtic linked with League One switch
As much as I want to see how well Celtic would do in the English leagues, coming through from the demise of Portsmouth would upset me, because I'd have no insignificant rivals to laugh at.

Yeah nobody gives a shit outside England, that's why we had over 400 Scandinavian fans at the game on Saturday. Anyway I don't even want to get into this argument, enjoy your dire 1 team league for ever more because nobody wants you in our leagues.ConorCelticFC wrote:Billy Davies wrote:Wouldn't even be the biggest club in the Football League.

Well for starters four league ones sides with higher average higher crowds then the SPL's third biggest club in Hearts. Then there are players like Jennison Myrie Williams who flopped with Cheltenham, yet went on to play for Dundee United and St Johnstone between 2009 - 2011. Dundee United being in the Europa League at that time. Then there is Daryl Duffy who flopped at Bristol Rovers in league one, yet joined Hibernian on loan for 7 games. Now he's playing for us in league 2. Another example is Kris boyd who managed 168 goals in the SPL who was very ordinary at Middlesborough in the Championship.
