Gerrard of the 08/09 season was immense, its just a shame that that year seemed to be the Ryan Giggs appreciation year when it came to the Player of the year

Not just trophies either. Individual accomplishments as well. If Gerrard has the ability to appear on that list, then he must be the greatest underachiever ever. Because his accomplishments are a joke compared to the rest of the guys on that list.

Definetely. But he is easily the most complete midfielder in the world.
