Very impressed with Jonjo. Could very well be the start for him. Said I had high hopes for him. Class act. How poor are Villa by the way? So so boring and stale.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Well they have had MON, Ged and now McLeish as managers.
Mr Negatives the lot of them.

Ged and MON are good managers though. McLeish is average and is punching well above his weight with the players he's got at his disposal. Villa have got a really good squad I feel. And he's just zapping the talent out of the team. Kinda' like what Hodgson was doing with us.

The talent of the team was zapped out by Manchester United and Liverpool in exchange for £40m.

Downing can hardly be called talent.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Downing would be in double figures for assists if it weren't for our rather poor finishing

Maybe if he created better chances we wouldn't miss them.

Aye, putting the ball 6 yards infront off goal only for Carroll to hit the post, and Kuyt to hit it straight at De Gea.

No surprise that Downing's worst cross, ie to Shelvey, resulted in a goal for us.

Was it Sunderland he hit the bar against with that long ranger?

Haven't you been impressed with Downing Ryan? I thought you'd of been one of the ones in support of him. Don't get me wrong, he hasn't hit his best, but he's only been here 3/4 months. I think he's got a bit of unfair stick to be honest.
Though I fully understand people's frustration with him. Because he is a frustrating player to watch.

Yes. He almost scored a corker against Fulham as well, which Schwarzer tipped onto the post.samiz wrote:Was it Sunderland he hit the bar against with that long ranger?

And that's why I haven't been happy with him, because I know he's capable of a lot more. That and like you said he's frustrating to watch at times.Dean wrote:Haven't you been impressed with Downing Ryan? I thought you'd of been one of the ones in support of him. Apparently Luuk de Jong is very likely in January.
Moussa Sissoko is also a realistic possibility.
