Behind the striker for me, that's where he's made a name for himself in his short career so far. Not sure why you'd want to play him in midfield when all he'll do is drift forward anyway.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Because if we were playing with Carroll up front with Maxi/Bellamy/Kuyt on the wings, I'd much rather have Suarez there annoying the fuck out of the opposition defence.

But then we'd have nobody to play alongside Adam?

Carroll
Bellamy---Suarez---Maxi/Kuyt
-----Adam----Shelvey-----
Enrique--Agger--Skrtel--Johnson

Would this not work?

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
It's too attack minded to work in the Premier League, surely you see why?
Henderson provides more of an engine than Shelvey and would cover more ground. Working together with Adam rather than bombing forward like Shelvey would do. You could argue that Shlelvey could just sit back and release balls from deep but that's just a waste of his talent when he has more to offer.

Why would we want to leave Henderson out, he is doing a good job for us at the moment. And i think most of us will agree he has not done anything wrong.

Shelvey says he prefers not to defend, or something along them lines.

Yep, back in full training too. Physically I bet he's great. Just that match fitness he needs to get.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
He looked skinny but in shape in a picture posted from his training in the UAE.
Hopefully he comes back and fucking destroys defenses - his free kick against United was just an insight to him getting himself back to his best.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Ryan Babel may have swapped Liverpool for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in January but the Dutch star has never made any secret of the affection he still holds for the Reds.
Tonight at 6pm, Babel will be spending his 25th birthday with Liverpool fans on Twitter as he conducts a live interview with @LFC before reviewing 10 music tracks from 2011.
A year ago this week Babel, who runs his own record label and has rapped in the past, teamed up with the official LFC Twitter account to review 20 tracks from 2010 - including songs from Arcade Fire, Manic Street Preachers and Beady Eye - and as he enjoyed it so much, he's agreed to do the same this year.
To help him judge each track, we'll be providing him with a link to the song on YouTube - until the interview starts, Ryan won't know what tracks he'll need to judge.
To follow the interview and music review live, simply log onto Twitter before 6pm on Monday and make sure you're following @RyanBabel and @LFC.
To find out which tracks Ryan marked a 'hit' and which he marked a 'miss' in his 2010 Music Review, click here http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/babel-s-music-review-of-2010
