I'm not nitpicking, but you said it was Swansea and not some world class team when he's done it against a world class team, so even if it is Swansea, it doesn't matter because he's proven he can do it against anyone on his day, he just needs to show it more against United/Chelsea e/t/c, but he can be a top player.
He's only done it ONCE against a world class team, so please don't get that confused with being able to do it consistently. He's been shit a hell of a lot more than he has been good. When he shows he can' be top class consistently then he will get rated, but until he has a lot to show me.
And it goes both ways, if you don't want me to reply to you, then stop slating him because you're right, we all know you don't rate him and you don't need to keep repeating it...
Wrong. It doesn't go both ways because I wasn't even talking to you in the first place. The conversation was between Bat-Man and I, not you. Once again you decided to add your opinion to something that didn't need it. If you know I don't rate him then move to the next message and stop wasting your time and mine on these pointless fucking back and forth posts about absolutely nothing.

He hasn't been shit more then he's been good. But I know i'll never convince you of that so i'll just leave it.

And it's a forum, if you post, expect people to reply to it.

I don't mind people replying to what I am saying, but with you in reference to Laurent its like beating a dead horse. You will never change your view and I am not changing mine until he proves he is worth a damn so why waste the effort debating it when there are far more constructive things to talk about like did you still want me to edit your signature?

Saw this on Twatter earlier, great news. As you said, he will be playing every game at West Ham, he wasn't doing so at Norwich (mostly as a sub, particularly in the 2nd half of the season).

Good game tonight tbh, we defended very well. I'm hoping Arteta starts to become more influential.

Dropping points from winning positions always leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I mean a draw in their stadium is a fantastic result.

The teams cohesion is shit though, if they could hold onto the ball for more than 5 seconds we could have won.

Attack wise, I agree, but when it came to defending we did well. Closed them down quickly, and timed blocks and tackles very well. We dealt with set pieces quite well to.

But I agree, we need Wilshere back, we're still lacking creativity.

We desperately need Wilshire back. He gives a creative directness that no one else possesses. All the defenders today were decent (Gibbs still left huge gaps behind him on occasion though) and Song was our best player by a mile. Arteta and Benayoun seemed completely lost and this led Gervinho and Walcott to be completely isolated and feeling the need to dribble and try to do something special on the few occasions that they got the ball. van Persie took his goal well but he's not supplied adequately. I have no idea why Wenger has taken off van Persie in the last ten minutes of the last two matches. I simply don't see how it is beneficial whatsoever to have our best striker, who is also quite tall and a decent defensive header on the ball, on the bench.

I honestly don't get the hate on Koscielny by Arise. I mean he's not as good as what the bigger clubs in England have like UTD but he's still alright. Almost all of his bad performances have been when he's paired with a really shit cb like Djourou and that shit French pedophile guy. I would class BVB as a world class team and he had a great game so that's already 2 for ya Arise.

I'm starting to warm to the idea of Arteta in our team. I am not sold on him yet, but he isn't as bad as I thought he would be for us. He wasn't all that great tonight, but with time he will get better.

I would hardly call Dortmund a world class team. Not even close. They are a good team, but they are not among the world's or even Europe's elite teams.

Doesn't matter if he is paired with Tony Adams, Matthias Sammer, or Squillaci, the point is he hasn't been anywhere near the level I expect for a £10m signing who is expected to produce. Also if I am not mistaken Johan covered Laurent's ass on numerous occasions last season before his shoulder injury. I don't rate Johan either, but I would take him over Laurent if he could replicate his pre-injury form. In a scale between 1 and 10 he has been 5 in basically every game I have seen him play where he has actually had an impact aside from the expected contributions you expect from a central defender. He was decent tonight, nothing spectacular considering the game overall was shit for both teams. Barcelona is his only stellar game so far, but the season is young so we will see.

Koscielny has been better than Mertesacker in both games they have played together so far (both with good performances mind) and you were blowing him like he's the next Vidic before he arrived. Can't you see whats in front of you?

Also i notice the women of the forum like to pretend that Gervinho is a bad player, well i hope he starts every game. Everytime he gets the ball the opposition start running around like goofs all throwing themselves around to stop him, he's going to be fantastic.

I won't be surprised if Wenger gave PR a note of who should come off for who, because I know PR wouldn't sub RvP like that when were under that amount of pressure. And when it was Chamakh who came on Official Arsenal FC Thread - Page 18 58503 . You just knew they were going to score.

Leave those people to keep classing Gervinho as a shit player and labelling him Babebl v2:lol: . Whenever he got the ball, there was 3 players on him automatically, whilst Walcott only had the one and done fuck all with the ball. Like seriously is Wenger fucking blind, Walcott is bloody shit and shouldn't be on the bench either until he learns how to concentrate, control the ball, have a footballing brain and pass at the right time.

As agreed on the Koscielny bit, he has been better than Mertesacker so far. That may be down to him being more experienced in the team. Koscielny has been very good for us this season. Reads the game better than any of our defenders which is vital in the Champions League with the majority of teams being very technical.

I couldn't disagree anymore. Laurent wasn't better than Per in the Swansea match and neither were impressive today since the team as a whole was shit. I admit that Laurent isn't as shit as I make him out to be, but I still do not rate him. As the season progresses we will see how he plays when he gets on the field. He has upside, but I still don't want him starting for Arsenal.
