Some guy on twitter just said Arteta is "waaay better than Fabregas" and that Wenger was smart to sell Fabregas and get a better player whilst making huge profit.

I think they're still in denial over the Fabregas deal.grenade187 wrote:Some guy on twitter just said Arteta is "waaay better than Fabregas" and that Wenger was smart to sell Fabregas and get a better player whilst making huge profit.

I think Arteta is a good player but Fabregas is on a whole different level.

Its fucking embarrassing with the amount of deluded Arsenal fans there are now. Especially on twitter. Its on thing to be optimistic like Bat-Man but this... Seriously have a look through at what some of our lot saySplashy wrote:I think they're still in denial over the Fabregas deal.grenade187 wrote:Some guy on twitter just said Arteta is "waaay better than Fabregas" and that Wenger was smart to sell Fabregas and get a better player whilst making huge profit.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
it will be interesting to see how well Arteta does in a team which dominates possession as opposed to a more direct team like Everton.
We may well see the emergence of a world class Arteta..

Arteta and Benayoun are good buys though, imo. Most of our talented youngsters in the reserve do. Must suck for Spanish clubs if that's the case as they can't sign pro contracts there till they're 18.Gegilworld93 wrote:Does anyone know which of our youth players signed a professional contract? EA said they could only include players with pro contract on FIFA 12 youth academy, the likes of Ozyakup for example, did they sign one?
Because there was a rumour we would use Ozyakup for the United game because we were short of CMs, so that means he has a pro contract? Sorry, am a bit confused atmWas your main striker injured or something?polska. wrote:That was FC Koln player Peszko, he is a winger who produces about 10-15 assists a season, and only 1-2 goals.grenade187 wrote:MertesackerNoviNovak wrote:http://www.footytube.com/video/poland-v-germany-89746?ref=search
Good highlights on here. (Poland v Germany)
Poland should have won if their shit striker put away those 1-1's lol
He makes lots of intelligent runs but he is shit at shooting and scoring, always has been. Smuda's tactics don't suit Peszko, and Lewandowski passing the ball to the left all game didn't help. Peszko is also right footed and a right sided midfielder, so playing on the left said didn't aid his game either.
If I'm honest Mertesacker was quite bad in that game. The German media also said. Though tbh Boateng was also pretty shit. I just hope to god that he's not like that for us.
Newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung claimed he looked “disorientated and
lacking dynamism” in his “failed comeback”; Die Welt said “Mertesacker
showed once again that he is overwhelmed with swift counterattacks”; and
Bild called him one of the “losers of the week”.
Lewandowski and Brozek played, and their our strikers. But yah, I guess Jelen wasn't match fit so we missed out on him, but that is nothing new. He misses out large parts of the season with injury most of the time.
Now I am not so sure.. Szczesny produces world class saves and has a better mentality already but Fabianski is still class as well.grenade187 wrote:Polska do you still rate Fabianski higher than Szczesney?
He pretty much got Poland the draw. He also started both attacks that led to Poland's goals
You could say he got us the draw, but if Peszko didn't screw up the 3 one-on-ones, we would've won.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
I just found an old post from you on EA.
How that changed.
Well he's not like an old 30, he's still fresh and as fit as an ox.
Strong as one too.
Sevilla were my side for the Spanish league and they were REALLY physical, they are the Stoke of Spain but with more talent, and Squillaci is at the fore front of that so we are getting a monster.
He is also a good reader of the game because of his experience. He's not too bad on the ball but he's normally a do nonsense defender, he might gain some skill under Wenger like what Wenger did to Adams and Bould.
How that changed.

Last season with this incredible dominant defender, Thomas Vermaelen, only playing 5 games Arsenal conceded 43 goals. The season before, with him playing 33 games, Arsenal conceded 41 goals. He's clearly not that important.

Well
I shouldn't really say anything more about Mertesacker then. You know I remember posting that so vividly, cos I made a mistake, I said do nonsense defence, when I meant no nonsense.
Arteta might do better with better players around him.
