I wish this was on at a different time to the Everton game... I'll have to watch a replay later to see how Arteta plays

Park's papers didn't go through. He was in Paris yesterday. They might be alright for today though, but he hasn't trained.

Yes it has.arsenalap11 wrote:Chris wrote:Nice team.
edit: did park get his permit then?
Don't think a permit has ever been a problem with Park.
We were hoping to get it today Wenger said.

Yeah I thought that would be it.
But, just checked Arsenal.com and it says Walcott is out?

No idea. Ramsey i'm guessing.
Dortmund are in poor form, which is the hope we have of beating them.
That and we'll have:

Song, Gervinho will be back and we play much better away from home anyway. We'll f them over in their stadium especially if Arshavin's playingMal wrote:If we play like that in Dortmund.

Arteta - his tekkers are beyond overrated, average
Benayoun - average but looked more settled, tried hard and made decent passes but other times it was like
Mertesacker - looked unsettled, didn't make any major mistakes but nothing great either, average

Arteta played well imo, linked up well with van Persie but was more quiet as the game went on. Didn't make any killing passes though. Agree with the others though.

i only saw roughly 11 seconds of this game but when i did i was luckily enough to see benayoun running with the ball and he made a good pass to ramsey

Benayoun's exactly like Hleb, he's a good player tbh. Reminds me of Hleb and Rosicky with his quick sharp passes. He'll do well for us.

Only saw second half but the way he miscontrolled and passed to no one was a bloody joke sometimes, fair enough if you're new and you're getting settled but his tech in general sucked. People portrayed him as some underrated spanish jesus that deserves so much more, not in that half my god. Also his freekicks are dire, Everton fans talked about this before we signed him

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Its a shame because if he had played striker today he could have ran in behind the whole game with passes from RVP and Arteta. The Swansea defence were giving so much space we would have won about 4-0. But no.. Theo played on the wing and played shit.Zlatan wrote:I think I've finally come around to thinking why the fuck is Walcott on the wing.

Then STFU.
You didn't see him link play up in the first half, he put Ramsey and van Persie through on many occasions.
Arteta was good when he was on the ball but in the second half he was just chasing the ball around and when he got to it he had no options.
I can't believe how you go through your life with such cynicism.
