We're linked with EVERY player at one point or another, so I don't take any notice until the player is paraded in a Tottenham shirt.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
I think we need a new winger and CB to be able to push for 2nd, We could probably wait until the summer for a new striker and just hope adebayor never gets injured, obviously itd be better to bring one in now but its not as urgent as the other positions, we have just 2 proper wingers in a team that relies so much on the pace out wide, since lennon got injured weve played pretty crap apart from the norwich game.

If we got Ba...oh my lord. Don't see it happening though.
I prefer Samba to Cahill. And Hoilet would be great to fill in for Lennon and Bale every now and then
Samba's retarded, but your loss

Hope they get Samba, will he replace Dawson though? Always thought Dawson was overrated, don't like him.

Serious? Dawson is one of our best defenders when fully fit. Samba will be a replacement to King/Gallas like Kaboul is.Gegilworld93 wrote:Hope they get Samba, will he replace Dawson though? Always thought Dawson was overrated, don't like him.

Look, I understand that because all these bollocks rumours suggested Arsenal desired Samba gave off the impression that he's somehow good... I get that
But he's actually shit, can tackle decently and can head the ball well but apart from that there's nothing else he has

TBF Dawson was over rated by the media and that. He's still very good player though.

Dawsons good but not great imo
Samba would be a good third or fourth CB behind King, Dawson, and possible Gallas and Kaboul but then again King and Gallas are both pretty old

He'd be behind Kaboul after the performances he's put in this season. Harsh as fuck to keep him out when he's been so solid at the back despite having 3/4 different CBs beside him.

Fair enough, so what does he offer apart from his physical attributes? Because Physical attributes alone aren't good enough for a CL/Top PL side, which is what you want to be no?

What shit stats, just like when United fans say we've had more than the seasons we've won the league, yeah fuck off this is a different season how can you compare points when it seems like EVERYONE is getting more points ffs.COYS wrote:''42 - Spurs have more points after 19 games than any Premier League team had managed at the same stage of season 2010-11. Calm down kyro! All I meant was we've improved on last season and the stat shows that with us being 3rd, so aren't we allowed to enjoy our improvement and pointless stats that actually prove that improvement?kyro7 wrote:Oh right yeah because that's what I meant when I had a go at one stat, get fucked.easley91 wrote:Aren't we allowed to enjoy the moment?

Gets on my nerves, it's not just about you, it's like our fans saying yeah we've got a better points total, oh really do we? So do City and Spurs and the other teams around us, maybe it's just that teams are easier to beat now. Pointless.

Samba wants out I've read this morning. Reckon we'll put in a bid at some point for him. Although apparently the Cahill move to Chelsea is on the rocks so maybe we'll wait and see how that turns out.

He can tackle decently and head the ball, that's all we need from a CB.
