Not sure really big signings was a bit of an exaggeration but a defender like Cahill, another wide midfielder and a striker

We should only talk about the title if we win on Wednesday, then even more so IF we beat City. 4th was the aim for this season, so 3rd or even 2nd is a massive plus. We won't get any major signing this month, unless something ridiculous happens. Samba/Cahill, Ba, Hoilett and I'm happy til the Summer.

Spurs don't need any more squad players. Especially no more Pienaars Laughing

If Spurs buy someone it should be maybe a young talent or someone who will play every week and improves the team. Obviously with a team like Spurs that's going to cost lots of money for maybe 1 or 2 players.....but there's already a whole bench/reserves of players who think they should be playing every week....no point adding to it.

Can't afford to let a CB go now without bringing another in first. Daws is only just back and King and Gallas are out with injuries.

Bassong blows he's barely a CB, he's more of just a shithead.

If we got Ba...oh my lord. Don't see it happening though.

I prefer Samba to Cahill. And Hoilet would be great to fill in for Lennon and Bale every now and then

#thfc Here come the highlights from this morning's press conference...

#thfc Scott Parker is 'struggling' to be fit to face Everton tomorrow. 'It would be a surprise if he's fit. In fact it's very very doubtful'

#thfc Redknapp on Ledley King's hamstring: 'He's had a scan. It's not too bad but he's not going to be fit for tomorrow'.

#thfc On transfers, Redknapp was asked about Loic Remy, Demba Ba, Chris Samba and Junior Hoilett - and said there's interest in all of them.

#thfc HR also said: 'We're not close to anything, we're not desperate for anybody. There are good players here who aren't getting a game

#thfc Redknapp on Gallas and Sandro: 'They shouldn't be out too long. The only problem is it's the third time they've had calf injuries'

#thfc Finally, on Everton, Redknapp says Spurs are in a better position to play this game than they were in August

On the Remy link, read that Marseille have put a £22m price tag on him. So not sure if we'd go for that.

Nice to see Kings injury is not as bad as first feared. Very important player for us.

Bad news about Parker, with Sandro still being out we've got no DM Sad Livermore's time to step the fuck up.

I'd be happy with our dealings if we got Ba/Remy, Samba and Hoilett this window. Got good players for the positions we're lacking.

Makes me more nervous to be honest. West Brom had a load of injuries and we only scraped a 1-0 win and it really wasn't that convincing a 1-0 either.

We are in need of a massive win of 4 or 5-0, so it could happen. With Lennon back alongside Bale, Modric, VDV, Defoe and Adebayor we could see quite a few goals. Early goal is key, we score early we could go on a rampage. Goal difference will be crucial for the title, and we are well ebhind Man City, who we could go level on points with before they play on Monday. Very Happy

We promise to take extra good care of him. Buy him a house, give him enough money to spend. Feed him every day, give him some trophies to play with and train him to become a great player. In fact we'll even give you 35M for your trouble.

Spurs boss speaks out on Loic Remy rumours and other targets

Harry Redknapp admits that the France international striker Loic Remy is among the players that Tottenham are tracking this month.

But the Spurs boss insists that there are no imminent arrivals on the horizon, and that he remains perfectly content with the squad at his disposal.

Remy has netted nine times for Marseille and once for France so far this season, and Redknapp concedes that the 25-year-old forward is a long-term Tottenham target.

“He [Remy] is a good player. We could have had him a couple of years ago to be honest,” said the manager. “He’s pushed on since then but he was a player that we looked at and I watched him a couple of times at that stage - but he went to Marseille.

“There’s interest there but that’s as far as it goes. At the moment I don’t think there’s anything more than that.”

Redknapp spoke highly of the Newcastle striker Demba Ba on Friday, and he was just as complimentary in his press conference this morning.

“He’s done very well,” he said. “Looking back on it, everybody should have taken him from West Ham shouldn’t we. We’re all wise after the event, as usual.

“Stoke nearly took him, but Newcastle did take him. I keep hearing conflicting stories about how much the buy-out clause is. I think probably the only people who know are Newcastle and Demba Ba.”

Meanwhile, at the other end of the pitch, injuries to William Gallas and Ledley King have prompted speculation that Spurs will step up their interest in Blackburn’s Chris Samba.

“He’s a really good player,” said Redknapp. “He’s an interesting player – like Gary Cahill. They’re two top centre-halves and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of interest in them in the window.

“I like the pair of them, they’re both good players and they’d strengthen your team. If they came into your football club they’d strengthen you up. But we’ve got plenty of centre-halves so at the moment we look okay there.”

Redknapp was also asked about Samba’s Blackburn team-mate Junior Hoilett - and the Tottenham manager concedes that the Lilywhites could move for the Canadian wide man before the end of the month.

“He’s a good young player as well,” he said. “With all the players you’ve come up with today, I couldn’t sit here and say that they wouldn’t interest you.

“They’re all interesting players. There’s no-one there where I could say ‘no we’re definitely not interested’ - because in two weeks we could go and sign one of them. If the chairman came and said that we could get any of them I wouldn’t say no.

“But we’re not close to anything, we’re not in a position where I’m desperate for anybody.

“I made 10 changes on Saturday and the lads who came in all played their part again. There’s some good players here who aren’t getting a game, right through from left-back to the wide right position.

“We’ve got plenty of cover so we’re not in a situation where we’re desperate for players, which is a nice position to be in.”
