The whole defence gets better with King there. You can see everyone up their game and you see King giving orders/feedback to the others throughout the whole game.

When King's fit, he's the best English CB.
Terry shouldn't be included in the list, he's absolutely woeful. Smalling, Ferdinand, Jones, Cahill, Jagielka and Lescott are the defenders I'd have ahead of Terry.
Should be King and Lescott starting although < Vermaelen

No, just no. Not with Arsenal's defending at the moment, and he scored an own goal on Saturday.19Jones19v wrote:When King's fit, he's the best English CB.

Plus if King wants to continue his club career he shouldn't play internationally, the England coaches don't know what to do with him, plus I don't think he'd be able to take it.

The Spurs ones do, Harry and the staff have got it perfect this season. Didn't think he'd play on Monday then Saturday (5/6 days between them).

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Official Thread
He would've sured up the defense in those games. We probably would've lost at United and Chelsea (though that one was down to ref decisions) but the city game at home is one I feel King's leadership would've proven a factor. We may have lost it anyway, but wouldn't have done in the manner we did. You want proof, look at how we've performed since he's been in the team. Watch him for 90 minutes every week and see what he does for us regularly. He would've made a difference in those games, maybe not result wise, but still not getting ripped apart like we did against United and City.ViVaRooney wrote:XxBradKennedyxX wrote:

Saw a Huddlestone tweet on my twitter feed saying he hopes to be back in training by February. Can't wait until he's back, he wont get in the 1st team when fit, but he's still quality.

Nice. Only problem I get with it on mine is that Modric doesn't get overly involved in terms of assists and goals.
VDV beasts it though.

Gareth Bale has vowed that Gary
Speed's legacy will live on in the rejuvenated national team after the
tragic 42-year-old brought belief to Welsh football for the first time
in a decade.
Wales'
players talked about an upbeat mood engendered by Speed and everyone
around the team acknowledged that football had lost a rare talent.
'We
were on the up,' said Tottenham star Bale. 'He changed the way we play
and the whole mentality of our game. It's a massive loss - but we will
try to carry on the best we can in his honour.'
