It was all I needed. I can add more if you like, I'd just prefer not to waste my time on an argument that relies on 'ifs' and 'maybes' and focus on the now.

You obviously cannot reply constructively and are resorting to copying Jamie's act. Be original man.

I'm not copying anything. Jesus christ. Jamie's not the only person who's wary of the future.

When we get into the Champions League, I doubt we'll bring in top players because we've already signed young players for large sums of money this summer. I don't think we'll get far with players like Carroll, Henderson and Adam coming up against the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Ozil, Thiago Silva etc. But it's not like we'll fork out £30 odd million for someone like Higuain. These players we've signed might get us back into the top four, but we're not exactly going to release them after are we?
Put it this way. If we were given £50 million to spend on one player, who could be buy? Keep in mind that we already have a £35 million striker and a whole bunch of midfielders.
It's hard to get this point across and it might sound like I'm being a bit of a dick. But come next summer, if we do get into the top four, you'll see that my worries are quite legit.
Its all about building Liverpool as a club back up, after all the shit that happened with the other clowns in charge, and give these players a chance and the people in charge of the club before jumping to conclusions what might happen next season. If we get into the top 4 and back in the Champion's League, maybe then we can also add some of Europe's top players to add to what we already have.
And if we do get into the Champion's League and Dalglish thinks he can improve our Squad i think he will, and if the likes of Adam and the others are not good enough we could still get some of the cash back that we spent on them.

Bullshiiiiiiiiiiiit. It takes 11 players to make a team. You only named three and two of them are under 23. What's to say in 12 months Carroll hasn't dominated the season before? Henderson isn't even a starter, he can only get better. He's 21 ffs.Cadbury wrote:Right. Here's the thing.

Reina, Agger, Lucas, Enrique, Gerrard, Johnson, Suarez, Aquilani etc are all Champions league pedigree.

You've not understood my point. As I said, it's difficult to get across. It will rpobably be easier discussing this when we get to that stage.

Where have you got this idea of us spending £50m on one player next summer anyway? Why would we need to?

Because I doubt our current team would get far in the Champions League.

Your point is easy to understand, I get it.
Also on top of what you said I don't think our choice of signings are going to propel us back into a Champions League spot.

You'll Never Walk Alone
When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Hardly a poor side. Most of them have Champions League experience.
And that's not including the likes of Kuyt, Carragher, Maxi, Meireles who also do and our young players that will have yet another years experience under their belts (at least) by the time we play Champions League football.

It's weird. Taking Aquilani out of the side makes it look a lot worse.

No problem, but what you are saying about being ruthless, yes players need a chance and time to prove themselves and so does Kenny and the others in the club. But Kenny will remember the old Liverpool ways, and he will know that if things dont work out after some time, he would not expect to be there. But it might take a few season's to get the club back to where Kenny and everyone wants it to be.

Hopefully Kenny pulls something amazing off this season. I have faith in Kenny, I don't have much faith in all the players. I'll still support them. but it's probably best I avoid this place if we play badly.

Apaprt from work rate and a good shot, what does he add to the team? I'd rather have Adam on the pitch.

Come on its the start of the season, and well the club is starting a season wilth new management and new players, lets have some hope and believe that things are on the up. I mean it could be last season with uncle Roy in charge and Poulsen and a few others as our hopes. And well some need to read the bolded parts of the song to get them up for it.
