Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Liverpool have today confirmed that they are in negotiations for the sale of Daniel Ayala to Norwich City.
The young defender has been linked with a number of clubs over the past few weeks and boss Kenny Dalglish revealed that he is now on the verge of a move to the Canaries.
Dalglish told his pre-match press conference: "The only one going is Daniel Ayala," he said. "He's going to Norwich.
Hope he does well there, always thought he could make it in the Premier League.

Ayala should be a good buy for Norwich. They're making lots of good signings and I could see them surviving now.

You should keep Aquilani. I still think that Gerrard and him could end up forming a very good midfield partnership.

He had that number against Valencia. From a distance I kept thinking he was Benayoun

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
How important is it that he has already played for four years in England?
It's very important. Very, very important. As I said, he knows Andy, he knows Pepe (Reina) from Spain as they used to play at the same club, Villarreal, although not at the same time. But most importantly, he knows the league and what to expect - and what to expect when you play for Liverpool Football Club. We know he is going to come in and hit the ground running.
He's our second wide-left signing of the summer - how do you see him linking up with Stewart Downing?
He's actually our third because Charlie (Adam) is a left-sided player as well. It's something we wanted as we felt we needed more left-sided players in the squad to give Kenny some flexibility. We know Stewart can play on both sides, so it is up to Kenny who he wants Jose to play with, but we know a left-foot in that position at full-back is very interesting.
Bolded the parts that make me angry

Charlie Adam on the left?
Hopefully we'll never have to witness that.

Why? he's played there before. Nobody would be concerned if Gerrard was to play on the right.

From what I've seen, Adam can't beat a man. I'd rather have Adam in the middle so we can utilise his range of passing more. Gerrard's got the crossing and the work rate. He's also an attacking midfielder so him being played on the right isn't that bad. I'd rather have him behind Carroll though.

Gerrard can actually run though.
Adam in the centre is bad enough but on the left would make me suicidal.
I can just imagine it, someone passes it to him over to the left(he's standing around the halfway line)...he decides let's try a cross from there instead of running and the ball goes out for a goal kick. Commentators and idiot fans alike applaud the majestic idea of crossing the ball from the half way line, ignoring how fucking stupid it is.

So would I. Think what Commoli was trying to get at is that if e were pushed for players in that position's then Adam can do a job there for a few games.

I'm not one of his biggest fans but I don't think Adam would be as bad playing there as your making out.

Fuck I missed this part of the interview:
Could Jose be the final bit of incoming business this summer?
You can never say never, but it is likely.
What a shit interview, even the signing I'm actually happy about gets fucked up by his words.

Jim Boardman
Enrique can play tomorrow - whether he will or not remains to be seen.
Good news that. I'd personally stick him straight in there with how shite we've been in defence during pre season.

I'd start Aurelio. He was solid against Valencia and has a better understanding of how we're going to play atm.

He wasn't tested enough against Valencia. Could easily brake down with the lack of games he's played.

If he does, sub Enrique on. Problem solved.
