Suarez plays for Liverpool and scored against Sunderland in the PL and got to the semi-finals of the World Cup.
Pedro
What exactly does that prove? Pedro plays for the better team?
Yes. Which is pretty much what I said. Yet it doesn't establish who is the better player. I could go on to point out that Suarez is better because the players around him weren't as good as what Pedro is used to. But it doesn't work like that.

There you go again. I've noticed you do this quite often. Intent to rile me up I suppose.
Suarez makes the team better too. So whatever your point is, it doesn't make sense.

Re: Pedro or Luis Suarez?
My vote levelled it at 50% each. I voted for Pedro because he is better, slightly, but still better. He may not be as relied upon as Suarez is. Pedro has kept his place in the Barcelona squad and shone, where as Suarez was amazing in the Eredivisie - hardly an accomplishment and was good at Liverpool but hardly showed us he was world class.

These sort of things end in disaster, they've never played in the same league, so you can't make a true comparison, you have to go by stats if anything

Re: Pedro or Luis Suarez?
Very different players really, Suarez is better on the ball, he's more creative, more flair, Pedro's the better finisher, he makes the better runs and he works twice as hard as Suarez.
In terms of contribution, Suarez was the best attacking player for Liverpool last season but if it wasn't for Pedro, Messi and Villa wouldn't have scored the same amount of goals, he drags defenders away with his constant running and if that doesn't open up space for Messi and co. via defenders tracking his runs then he'll go on to score himself.
Tight call, if I'm honest, it's all down to the position and role you need.

Both on par with each other to be fair. Pedro had the better season, but then again he's been surrounded by 10 world class players, compared to Suarez who is in the middle of a rebuilding Liverpool side. Tough choice.

What a fucking stupid argument, hardly his fault he played in the Eredivisie, he can only beat whats put in front of him. And how is what he done in the Eredivisie hardly an accomplishment? You're acting like the Eredivisie is a fucking Sunday League. Also, he's done well for Uruguay and proven himself at international level.Mutant123 wrote:My vote levelled it at 50% each. Re: Pedro or Luis Suarez?
Well Pedro is lucky because he came through the Barcelona ranks so was already at the best team in the world, whereas Suarez was playing for a club in Uruguay and by staying there he wouldn't have really made his name so he obviously when he got the chance to move to Europe he took it. My point still stands that he can only beat what's put in front of him. How do you know he wouldn't have a similar impact if he had moved to a Spanish or English side from Uruguay?Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Yes it is he chose to move thereJohnny wrote:What a fucking stupid argument, hardly his fault he played in the Eredivisie, he can only beat whats put in front of him. Re: Pedro or Luis Suarez?
I wasn't saying it was a bad league but it is hardly the same calibre as La Liga or the Premiership. He is good. I am not taking that away from him. I am saying Pedro is better. Not hugely. But better. I understand he doesn't choose the team he plays for - to an extent he does. I would prefer Pedro to him however.Johnny wrote: What a fucking stupid argument, hardly his fault he plays in the Eredivisie, he can only beat whats put in front of him. Fair enough if you would prefer Pedro, it's all a matter of opinion after all. Of course the Eredivisie is nowhere near the calibre of La Liga or PL but how can we know that Suarez would not have had a similar impact in one of those leagues? But I guess we'll find out next season how much impact Suarez can make in a top league.

There have never been any other incidents that I can think of between so. So what else in the blue hell would you would be talking about, "clever one." (brilliant smack btw. Right. It was your intention to discuss this in a civilized manner when you declared yourself supremely intelligent right out of the gate and basically preempted the whole discussion. Again, just because somebody recognizes your insufferable asaninity doesn't mean they are butthurt.

Yeah, I said next season 'cause I think he'll be able to play even better with a stable squad/manager and new signings added into it. I think we'll be able to judge this better after Suarez has played a full season in a top league.Mutant123 wrote:Well he did well for Liverpool last half season so yeah.Johnny wrote: Yeah, sorry sort of worded it wrong.
