If Polska is around here at all I found a pleasent surprise that Wisla Krakow v APOEL is on FOX soccer now in English. Although this is no where near live I find it nice that are taking the time to broadcast games like this in the first place.

Genk v Maccabi Haifa is in extra time, looks like it will come down to a penalty shootout if you like to watch those things.

Tough loss. We were 5 minutes away from qualifying.

APOEL were really a much stronger team, on the level of teams like Zenit and Kobenhavn and Everton. I have to give my full praise to APOEL and Cypriot football in general. In the last few years they've invested and reaped the rewards beautifully. Us Poles can definitely learn something from them.

We still have EL football to look forward too though. Smile

I saw the match, wisla was really bad.Score could have easily been 5-1.

Iliev seemed pretty good IMO.Melikson was very bad, zero contribution.

You can do well in the europa league I think.

APOEL is a very strong team,I wouldnt like olympiakos to face them.

This is sad for Odense. They had a tough road to ChL first facing and BEATING Panathinaikos in a goal-orgie.
In the last qualification round they surprised Villareal and got a 1-0 at home but then lost 0-3 in the second half of the second match, on El Madrigal in Spain.

Czech side Víktoria Plzen knocked the Nowegians from Rosenborg out of European competitions and now it seems to be Copenhagen's turn to get beaten by the upcomers.

FC Copenhagen faced a surprising defeat in Denmark, Plzen made an upset and won 1-3. Now its time to travel away in Czech with just one thing in mind: Goals.

I'm glad BATE made it through. Tbh, you want either BATE or Plzen in your group.

We aren't bad. We were clearly outclassed.

Melikson is a god like player, but his role still needs the rest of the team to perform. Malecki in particular was horrible, and Genkov was useless out there.

I think now is a good time to bring this topic back to life from the dead around page 20 or thereabouts. Most of the important info has come in other threads so I will probably only make a few points here.

APOEL have won the first game ever in the champions league group stage beating Zenit St Petersburg 2-1. I do not know if any other teams from Cyprus have won a champions league group stage game unless my memory is very poor

The 2-2 draw between Barcelona and AC Milan is pretty much irrelveant because FC Viktoria Plzeň and BATE Borisov drew 1-1 which actually mean at this very moment Barcelona and AC Milan are joint top at this moment.

APOEL is a great team. They've shown it against us and now against ZENIT ST. PETERSBURG.

I have no quells at all about loosing against the Cypriots. They are a Champions League Standard side. Would beat Dortmund or Arsenal on their current forms.

    Ah the Champions League thread.

Bayern still leading 0-1. Sat off a little since the goal. Rossi has just had Villarreal's best chance, saved by Neuer.

Van Buyten injured, replaced by Rafinha, Boateng goes into the centre.

No poles on the pitch from what I can see.

Edit: I think I see Brozek. Missed the lineups while I was watching Benfica.
