    Apparently the injuries are:
    Vinokourov - broken femur
Van den Broecke - broken scapula (shoulder blade)
    Zabriskie - broken wrist

What a fucking tit the driver of that car is hitting Fletcher and I don't know who the other cyclist is who went into the wire fencing.

Anyone know who the cyclist who went into the fence was, commentators said would pick up king of the mountains if he can finish although it looks as if his tour is over facepalm

Yep, terrible driving, just swerved right into Flecha, and Hoogerland ending up being thrown into a barbed wire fence. Not the first time a vehicle has collided with a rider in this tour either.

It was Hoogerland I think. That is so bad. Definitely the last time he'll ever be driving at Le Tour

Sanchez won, great attack at the end. Voeckler takes yellow and I think will put more than 6 minutes into Contador!

What the fuck was that media car doing? Hopefully someone will lose his job and drivers lisence.

EDIT: Rumor goes that the Vacansoleil team will file a lawsuit against French television.

Yeah was horrible driving, Hoogerland went into a barbed wire fence for heavens sake, applaud him for finishing the stage, if he can finish the tour I'll be impressed. Can also see why they would sue.

Also congratulations to Sanchez and Vorckler, still want Evans to be in yellow at the end of the tour shifty

    That driver was an idiot.

    Naturally, standings have been updated.

I'd prefer Contador winning when it's all over.

If anyone wasn't me to keep track of a rider in the GC or another competition, let me know.

Terrible, i was pretty sure the ASO people went looking for an old guillotine instead of todays jersey ceremony. He is probably getting fired after being thrown out and becoming a sort of hit and run driver. I hope that guy gets to pay for what he did, headless driving and as the danish team directors Brian Holm and Bjarne Riis said after, a media car has no business being anywhere near riders at any point during the stage.

That said was a bit sad that Fuglsang lost 30 seconds and nearly dumped out of the top 10 after looking like a solid mountain card along with Frank Schleck. Basso lost a bit of time as well, seems unnecessary to do on a stage just before a day of rest.

Quite impressive that Flecha and Hoogerland made it in still a bit ahead of riders that had not crashed during the stage. I have doubts that Hoogerland will continue the race, he may very well have damaged muscle tissue, but he goes out honorably finishing the race and with a significant portion of points collected for the Mountain Jersey

The good thing is that road regulations still apply so the driver automatically gets points on his license and a fine Very Happy

    Quite right.

It's not like he clipped them with his wing mirror or anything, it was a wild swerve into Flecha. Terrible driving.

Hoogerland is a hero. He gets up and carries on, then gives that interview so calmly! I would have been giving the car driver a right round of fucks if it was me.

I love Hoogerland and Flecha, such troopers and Hoogerland's interview and podium was lovely. Dave Brailsford's reaction was more of what I was expecting.

Also, quelle surprise, the driver of the car was a woman Laughing

An inspiration to female drivers everywhere. I lol'd hard. Can you link to the article though, can't find anything myself on the matter. Although that just adds a comedic side effect to a horrible crash.

It wasn't an article, I was watching highlights just now though and it showed the driver and the passenger in the car at the end looking dismayed and the driver was a woman Laughing

Both Hoogerland and Flecha are starting tomorrow according to themselves. Thus going down the mountain at 70 km/h is way more dangerous than being hit by a car. Surprised I didn't see the initial crash by Vino and Van Den Broeck but it looked very rough when he had to be carried up to the road and Van Den Broeck look like he was just a zombie.

Really hope for no more crashes, and very very much looking forward to thursday. There are a lot of Out-of-Classification climbs this year and the first one is on thursday.
