Does Xavi spray 60 yard passes across the pitch every game then? Neutral

Scholes is probably the best midfielder I've ever seen. Legend.
He could if he wanted to.

Also as Dan posted, Alonso says hi too.

Yeah, but he also said that Matt Le Tissier is his idol, and one of the most extraordinary footballers he's ever seen.

EDIT: You can't really be a complete midfielder if you can't tackle, surely?

Great player, no doubt about it.

Don't agree with what some people say about him being able to play for Barca tomorrow, that's bullshit, but a class player nonetheless.

Not a surprise but still a sad day in Uniteds history and for everyone who has man utd in there heart. One of the clubs best players ever and one of the best midfielders in the world in the past 20 years. Glad to see him staying at the club to pass on his experience and love for the club to our youth.

    Thx for everything, Ginger Prince!

One of the few English midfielders who would succeed at any club in any league. Especially in England was he far ahead of time. I wouldn't even class him as an English product, he's no product of training. He's a pure natural who would succeed without any sort of training and still be one of the best.

Odd to see England who were able to enjoy the service of Scholes, can be lyrical hysterccal about the likes of simple runners like Gerrard and Lampard, who are good players don't get me wrong..but surely two classes under Scholes. This is also the problem when it comes to English schooling.
