it would be replacing a bit part player with no legs realistically.
    What?

So because Scholes aged we should find a replacement that is good enough for when he was on the decline? think

I might have missread what you said though.
You're only replacing what you just lost. It's not like scholes leaves so you are so much weaker.. easily replaced.
Yeah I think we'll be able to get a player that will offer more to the team than Scholes can right now with his age unfortunately, but still we can't replace the kind of player he's been for us over the years.

    I don't think we'll sign a top midfielder tbh.
It's possible to replace how he's been over the years just unlikely, like if you signed a young talented midfielder.

Pretty surprised by this. Looking pretty sharp against Juve.

Is he? Wonder will he still have the same influence on games at age 37 than he did in his prime.

Would've been better if they'd just signed another midfielder. I can see him flopping due to lack of match fitness in his first few games.

Match fitness is different to general fitness. Yes he may be in great shape, but it's going to take a while to get back into the pace of the Premiership.

You can't just come into a big game like the one against City today and expect him to make an impact after 6 months out, he'll need a few games in him first. Laughing

Dave you're such an ignorant twat, He is MILES better than Gerrard and if you're going to laugh because he made a mistake in one game then facepalm He's not match fit. He comes into the biggest game in England now after not playing for months and wasn't at his best, I and many others still think he's still quality.
