Why does he need a bit of cloth on his arm then? Pretty sure he'll do his thing with or without it....

Wait, so we shouldn't have captains at all in football now then? Great idea.

Just goes to show how shit the media in this country is.

Where the hell I say that you mong Rolling Eyes

I said the natural leaders are gonna do their thing with or without the armband. So why's it matter so much.

And if you're the captain people are going to listen to you over someone else..

Captains have the most authority, and Terry is the one in the best position to use it right.

Yeah I can see it now

Gallas: Oi Sandro, mark that lad there he's their best player at the moment

    Sandro: *ignores him*

Dawson: Sandro mark that lad there he's their best player

    Sandro: Righto boss.

You are comparing a captain who captained 28 games, to one that captained 90 and 59. It's a hell of a lot easier to have a better record in less games. He's nowhere near our best captain ever. England's Brave John Terry is a good leader no doubt, but he's had his chance and he blew it, he damaged the team, that is unacceptable.

Ratio. Also, what are we going to do, bring back Bobby Moore to captain?

Terry is the best captain England have at the minute. Fact.

Oh yes. The fantastic captain that made one of our players retire from international football. Top class captaining that is.

He didn't make him, it was Bridge's choice.

He's still easily the best captain England have. Fact, again.

    Yeah ok.

well say Gerrard is captain, if Terry tells someone to do something but Gerrard says against it, the captain should be listened to.

Otherwise we may as well get rid of the armband altogether.

Bridge wasn't even in the running for the WC squad anyway, and had barely played before it so it doesn't make much difference, you're just making Terry sound bad to make your argument sound stronger.

Who's a better captain for the Wales game then?

As for Wales. Ferdinand, the current England captain.

I've got a question. Why should Ferdinand lose the captaincy?

Is it? Considering Gibbs was only called-up after Bridge retired, and one of Warnock's two caps was as a late replacement for Bridge, I don't think it is.
