He's central.
He often plays center mid for Rennes, might be a good addition but he's not going to be much better than Babel.
How can you possibly know that?
Give him a fucking chance.
Oh, great reply.
Seriously though. Stop writing him off like he's played here for years and done nothing. He's not even signed a contract here yet for fucks sake.

Oh, didn't realise you've seen Marveaux as much as you've seen Cole. My apologies.

Roy has probably lost the dressing room by now. I can't see the likes of Torres wanting to play for him anymore. Rumors about us on the verge of signing Marveaux. I couldn't care less right now, he won't change a thing. We have the best winger in the world Dirk Kuyt and even he's playing shite at the moment, I've never seen someone control a ball quite like him so having the touch of a rapist is an understatement.
I'll say it again.. If Roy ain't gone by the end of the week I'll fucking fall asleep and won't wake back up again.
Are you fucking kidding me?

Him + Joe Cole looked the most lively out of anyone. Babel came on and caused more problems for Wolves in 15 minutes than Torres and N'Gog did in 75 + 90.
Anyone see that brilliant little piece of skill by Cole in the middle of the park which got him past a player with ease? And you lot said he couldn't beat a man.
Fools. He was the only one who managed it, apart from Johnson perhaps.

Did you also see him give it away with stupid little flicks?
But that doesn't matter because he got past a Wolves striker. Wow.

I'm just saying that everyone on here was saying he can't beat a man, end of. You were all mocking me when I said we should bring Cole on, yet when he came on, he looked head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch.

Aye it was quality. I'm just dissapointed we can't make a position for Joe in this rigid 442 shite. As much as Roy will dispute, I think we have a fucking good starting 11. That's the worst thing.

To be fair we could have done with him starting.
Until he (and Babel) came on it seemed the the only way of linking up the striker to the rest of the team was a hoof from one of the back four. No-one in that midfield is able to do so. Actually, Gerrard could but he hardly pushed up the pitch. Perhaps Marveaux can solve this, as he will be a brilliant player for us .

I think the non-inclusion of Maxi had a massive impact.
Maxi and Cole should start against Bolton, on the wings. Torres up top with Gerrard behind him and Lucas and Meireles' partnership should be restored.
Kuyt can fuck off.

Johnson---Skrtel/Kyg---Agger----Aurelio
----------Mesh----Lucas--------------
Gerrard-------Cole------------Maxi
-------------Torres------------------
That would tear cunts up, but we won't see it.

He only got past someone once. And it was a striker.
He wasn't head and shoulders above anyone. He was like everyone else, stuck in a stupid formation that doesn't suit his abilities. Nobody shined last night and nobody has really shined all season.
But, on a positive, Lucas was impressive again last night, didn't do much wrong, defended and kept possession well. Seems to be one of the few shining lights in a currently dark period.

Well, you're the only person who thinks Cole didn't shine brighter than everyone else last night.
Which wasn't hard to do anyway.
