The point is there's more chance of them winning the Premier League than any other team bar Barca and Madrid winning La Liga.

Tbh I said it a few nights ago. Spurs are only a solid defence and maybe a world class striker from seriously challenging. And Liverpool at times in 08/09 looked like winning it.

Villarreal looked like winning it too before Barca's treble season, They had a way more chance than Barca. Wink

If La Liga is a 2-man league then so is the EPL, La Liga has had more champions last decade than the EPL. Wink Last time another team outside Real Madrid/Barca won was Valencia in 03/04, the same as in the Premier league as Arsenal won it in 03/04.

God, not this again. For a majority of the decade, Madrid and Barcelona ruled Spain, Inter and Roma ruled Italy, and United and Chelsea ruled England. If Spain is a two team league, then surely these two leagues are as well? Lyon dominated France from 2001-2008 and Bayern have won more titles in the 2000s than any German team, despite a new team winning a title every other year or so. Come on people. Neutral

I'm sure that makes sense on some level in some universe. At least there's a mathematical possibility somebody else might win. In La Liga, there's already 8 points between 2nd and 3rd and 13 points between 2nd and 4th.

No... Because if a team outside Barca/Madrid, and United/Chelsea finished in the top 2, it's not really a 2 team league. In terms of winners yes.. maybe.

And the last time that happened in the Premier League was only 2 seasons ago.
