- Qatar has made large improvements to their football development
- Plan on donating parts of the stadiums to developing nations in hot areas (with airconditioning)

- Center of the world (the best prime time viewing of matches for the whole world)

I like how they'll be destroying the stadiums and giving the parts to 3 world countries.

In that case, i'm going to Qatar and taking a shit on part of the stadium. I'd love to see some Indian build a house with that

If I recall, in their presentation they said it will go to nations in warm places (around the equator).

With the amount of money they will be getting from hosting, rights, sponsorships, tourism, etc. I think they can cover their costs. And what do you care if Qatar wastes money or not? Are you from Qatar?

People aren't stupid. Making the decision of hosting a World Cup requires lots and lots of planning. I'm sure they didn't go ahead with the plan without consulting financial planners.

The one thing I want t o know is how exactly will they air condition the stadiums? I've been to NBA games and domes that have had decent air conditioning, but I doubt these Qatar stadiums will be domed, right? I'd really like to take a look at this technology.

Theres strong strong rumours that the 2022 world cup will be played in the autum/winter. What implications will that have on the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and all the other leagues in progress. We just all meant to stop cos its too fucking hot to host it in the summer.

It'll just ruin what the world cups all about if that happens.

From what I saw, solar powered roofs will convert the sunrays to electricity to power the air conditions. The vents will be on the floor (under the seats) and on the ceilings.
