Why Does Qatar Not Deserve It?

Can someone tell me how often a terrorist attack happens in Qatar?

Sure their team isn't that great. But the WC is 12 years away and their advancement in youth is present. What do you know about the quality of the team in 12 years time? Look at South Africa. They were SHIT before the World Cup and still got something out of it.

What about the stadiums? Are you an engineer and going to know how airconditioned stadiums are supposed to be like?

How was it fixed? Didn't reports come out saying England bribed officials or something like that? Or reports about Russia and Spain making a secret agreement. I haven't heard anything about Qatar.

2) But these advancements in youth can only go a certain way, as these young players can/will go there own way, and Qatar will improve a bit but still not enough in my opinion.

Don't you think it's hypocritical that Qatar are relaxing their laws just for this World Cup? If they relaxed their laws for good and actually progressed into the 21st Century then fine, but it's not promoting the real Qatar at all, just hiding it away for a month.

1) Like I said, the nation is surrounding by neighbors about 30min-1hr away by driving. If you are talking about not enough hotels, I'm sure Bahrain, UAE, and Saudi Arabia have enough.
2) Still too early to make a prediction on the quality of the team. 12 years is a lot of time. In 12 years, Australia could be shit again for all we know. Don't get mad, I'm not attacking Australia or think they will be shit. It's just an example.
3) Some stadiums have closed roofs. And so what if the air leaves? The airconditioning starts from the ground (under the seats) if I recall correctly. So the cold air will hit you before it leaves the stadium. I'm sure the engineers aren't that stupid.
4) It's called rumors. People were reporting Russia won before the announcement too. Who knows, there might have been a whistleblower too. You can't say for sure that they fixed it without evidence.
5) That's a good point. But hardly one to dismiss their bid altogether.

You do make some good points there, but I need sleep, and you are starting to persuade me over, I'm still not happy about it, but some facts are making sense.

Are they relaxing their laws for just the WC? How do you know? They haven't said they would return to strict laws as far as I am aware.
